Why does the Delhi government (taxpayers) pay Rs 18,000 in salaries to Imams working in Mosques and Rs 16,000 to their helpers? This is most likely true in other Indian states. This is done to solidify the Muslim Vote Bank. Why are other minority religious leaders - Jain temples, bishops in churches, etc. not getting this money? Congress is the champion in dividing people across religious lines. Please read the 1993 Supreme Court Case regarding this. Supreme Court ruled against it, so Congress changed the word “WAGES TO HONORORIUM” to make it legal.
I don't know which party you are, but if you are Congress you have to think twice before making the above statement. Even Congress is polarizing votes based on religion - appeasing mainly one religion. As a constitutional law, no quota should be alloted based on religion, but see what congress is planning, to bring Muslim quota.
