Never crossed my mind of mosquito net invention until I went to pakistan to visit my inlaws. We brought one back home, a popup net and I am so gratefull. Dont have to have chemicals or anything burn all night long and be afraid of my baby's health. And many times these mosquito tablets don't even work much unless it is right next to your face while you sleep. Now I get to watch the stupid bugs suffer at night and it makes me so happy. Very smart idea and so simple whoever thought of it.
This is more than a century old idea used in India.

Major issue is getting in and out of this net. Every time you have to use the bathroom, you will have to pull the whole structure out. It might distrub your partner and also let mosquitos in.
Another issue with most foldable nets is the edges. Mostly they slant inward, this way it reduces space inside and also let's mosquitos bite the legs.
