1:17 You don't need to say No to Banon 3x to get the Genji Glove. Just say No once, then go back to the storage room and talk to the guy guarding it.
By doing this, you get to see the meeting room scene which you would have skipped otherwise when answering No thrice.

FF6 is sorta the sleeper masterpiece in this series. How fortunate I was to choose this game as my first RPG experience. 7 is way more popular and many think it is the best in the series, but secretly many, many fans love 6 just as much, if not more.
Makes me want to play 7! I'm sure both games are absolutely the pinnacle of the genre!

It was the same way for me as well. My good friend basically was like "You should play this game." Handed me ff6...I didn't know what I was in for. I remember being stuck on Vargas/Sabin's Pummel- and I went to sleep that night unable to figure it out! I remember having a fever dream and for some reason woke up, and just knew exactly what I was doing wrong. So I went downstairs and input the Blitz on the proper menu prompt.
Seems really dumb, but it's easy to mess up if you don't realize you're inputting the Blitz L R L at the wrong time!
After I beat 6, he lent me FF7 and from the very beginning of that game, I didn't know it then, but I was a FINAL FANTASY fan for life. I remember leaving to go to the skatepark with the crew and as they arrived, I chose to leave the PS1 on during the Tifa/Cloud Starry Well scene in 7th Heaven. Man. Those truly were the golden years of my life- pokemon, n64, sleepovers, skating, FF-
I'm a music teacher now, and I talk to my students about FF lol. I want them to know the joy I knew, and hear the absolutely legendary work of Nobuo Uematsu. He is the GOAT in my eyes. The music in these games changed the way I heard music and harmony. FF10 might have been my first introduction to jazz, haha. Square Enix jazz, anyway.
I should probably steer them towards FF7 Remake first now, and retroactively they might play through the series.
FF changed my life for the better- given me so much joy over the years to this very day. So I'm finally streaming games and 6 is the first one.
      Bless

If you equip a spear type weapon along with the dragoon boots relic, then instead of just the little boost in damage you get when you jump while you have other types of weapons equipped, you’ll do double damage. Equip the dragon horn relic along with the spear and dragoon boots combo, doing anywhere from 10,000-20,000 hp damage per turn wouldn’t be unheard of.

If you save outside Narsche at the beginning of the game and play all the way to the floating continent without saving, when you die and restart at Narsche, the game will glitch and give you the airship. Go to Zozo and you will find characters you haven't met yet replaced by the moogles from Narsche cave. Just be careful as some fights can freeze the game. The game will also log in your hp from the last time you died, so you can heal back all the HP you had when you last died.

    3) equip offering and genji glove together for a total of 8 strikes
    4) Sleeping in beds in different towns will score you 4 different dreams for Shadow
    5) there is a desert near the empires capital that has cacarots. Easy kill for 10mp

Wow i knew all of these i spent so much time in this game going over every nook and cranny. A few you forgot.
    1. Equip the gembox with the economizer and you can cast ultima, quick, ultima, ultima then have gogo just mimic for a total of 5 which will kill almost everything.
    2. On the floating island you must click "Wait for Shadow." to find him in WoR.
    3. As Black Skull pointed out and maybe others as well Gau is the first person to reach the 9999dam with stray cat. its broken as hell and a easy walk though game.
    4. It is possible to use a limit brake if you use a regular atk when low on hp though the chances are small.
    5. If you bet a rename card at the colosseum and win you get a amazing relic called miracle shoes that give its user haste, shell, protect, regain.
    6. If you have terra in your party in cyan dream world her magitek armor will have all its ability's it does at the beginning of the game.
    7. if you take strago solo to his home town in the WoR he will talk to the mayor and will open a cave just north of the town as well as being a cool dungeon the boss there cast grand trine stragos ultimate blue magic spell.
    8. In the battle vs the esper Tritouch (think thats how its spelled) if you use rasp and drain him of all his magic he will die.
that's all i can think of at the moment awesome list MarriedGamer and before i go Dancing Mad the final boss song is the longest composed song in FF separated into 4 parts and if you want to hear a epic rendition check out Prince of Darkness "Prancing Dad" sadly some 1wing angle is thrown in but still a damn masterpiece.

Here's one I actually just found out about while brushing up on the Rippler bug and why it yoinks Interceptor away: the game knows when Interceptor isn't available to Shadow and thus the "Interceptor Guard" effect which is what allows him to function in battle, is not active on Shadow during the Floating Continent as Interceptor is not with Shadow there. He is in Thamasa. If you are a heartless bastard (or just don't know any better) and leave Shadow to die on the Continent, when you go the cave in the Veldt in the WoR, Interceptor will lead you to a wounded Relm in place of Shadow, and from then on she will be his new master, meaning Relm now has the "Interceptor Guard" effect. Also, Gogo can mimic "Takedown/Wild Fang" lol. So that's fun. He can truly mimic everything, even someone's dog.

    • @NikeaTiber
      @NikeaTiber Před 3 měsíci

Wow ~ I got a ton of extra, random items before but it did NOT happen from sketching Gau. I wish I had photos of when it happened. It must have been a major game glitch, but I wound up with more Paladin shields than I could equip to all my characters. Easily 100s of Dirks (which I just had Shadow throw at everything) - there were multiple listings for them in my inventory (another glitch in its own right), and if I tried to sell them , they didn't always disappear from the list!
I also had I think 4 Illumina swords, and maybe 6 Atma weapons. Again, I had more swords than characters who could equip them! Most times people don't believe all this happened but I swear it did. I had been grinding in the little desert filled with Cactrots and Sand Worms when it happened. I wound up maxing out the time counter on that game file too (original SNES). Now I wanna play again~!

Sounds like you encountered the "Sketch Bug" - I googled it to double check my memory of how it worked, basically anytime Relm's "SKETCH" command misses - the game bugs out in strange ways. (Lots of items in the inventory, sometimes even graphical bugs like character pallet swaps). From what I read, it sounds like sketching invisible enemies work similar to sketching Gau. Maybe while you were in the cactuar desert, your sketch command failed somehow, giving you all the items you described :D I remember that this bug only occurs in the V1.0 version of the game, and is patched out in V1.1

@@MarriedGamerGuy I don't think Relm was even in the party when it happened though. I rarely used her.
The other weird thing was that I could sell more items than what I had in my inventory. Like some items, the quantity would be listed as 01 or 02, etc. When you had less than 10 of a given item it SHOULD be listed as one digit: 1,2,3 and so on. So (I think) the game saw that as 100+ of that item. Then, when I sold some of the item, if I sold a certain amount, I would still have some left (I forget exactly how it worked out) even if the amount was more than my inventory said. If that makes sense, lol. All this happened a good 20 years ago or more. But basically I was able to procure a TON of money. Setzer could use his coin toss ability like it was going out of style~

If you take Relm in the dungeon north of Thamasa on the SNES version and use her "Sketch" command you can really, really glitch out the game such as getting multiple items of what you really can only find one or two of, lose items, glitch out the graphics (in the dungeon only).
I have a save file on my SNES copy with 99 Gem Boxes (only put up a few at the Colosseum), 2 drills, no chainsaw ( I did get it in that save file) and multiple weapons and armors at 99. It's like the glitch rearranges items in your list but retains the amounts of the original item. Like if you have 99 tonics, the game switches it to Gem Boxes so now you have 99 Gem Boxes and 1 tonic. Not sure, just a guess.

    • @herved.2063
      @herved.2063 Před 5 lety +1

The glitch is due to the fact the sketch ability tries to copy data of an image to the screen next to Relm. Problem happens when there is no image to copy (ie, enemy is invisible), instead of doing nothing, the game ends up copying data which is not an image to adress 0, where most of the item quantities are stored and a bunch of other stuff like statuses, current HP/MP, learned skills etc. Problem being that not all variables get reset after the end of the battle. You may end up with lot of items, but some pretty bad stuff can happen too, like losing permanent good statuses, among which is Shadow's interceptor (yes, it is handled as a status ailment). It really screws up the balance of the game anyway... I remember going to the floating continent and throwing atma weapons every turn I could, cause I didn't have any decent weapon left to use with Shadow...
I heard it can mess up your cartridge too, but I doubt it.
Careful though, some games can be permanently damaged if playing with glitches, like Diddy Kong's Quest.
