This is my favorite album of year. Knowing Emmylou and Lucinda are influences makes it even sweeter. I've been a huge fan of Lucinda Williams going back to her debut. It takes uncommon talent to make music that can touch what she was doing in the 90's and right here we have it. While I also really like Waxahatchee rocking out, this is just magic.

One of my favorite albums of the year. I love how she isn't content running in place. A sonic departure from 'Out in the Storm,' yet every bit as powerful. As for "Can't Do Much," it's got the feel of a summertime classic. Thanks for the music, Ms. Crutchfield. Artists like you are why I'll keep buying records 'til the day I die.

Spot on Steven. First thing that hit me about the song. Kinsey is so perfectly placed on the backend of the beat. As a drummer, it immediately grabbed me. I wish I could be so patient on my downbeats.

Just got into this album recently after hearing about Waxahatchee for several years now but never hearing any of Katie's music (I know, I know). To me it's as close to a perfect album as I've heard in years, with incredible songwriting throughout. Such a beacon of light in this awful, awful year.

Love this song and album! Can anyone tell what she sings in the line just BEFORE "nullify?" Lyrics in apps and on web say it's "sanity," but I hear no T sound. More like, "Sayin' I-eee" or "aye-ee." So maybe it's a sentence that spans both lines? "Sayin' I-eee nullify." Elsewhere she extends "I" to multiple syllables, fwiw.
