This is the debut game from the excellent electronic music aficionado MrSuicideSheep, so obviously the soundtrack is excellent! It's a fantastic little cinematic platforming adventure, with high quality pixel art animation, lots of great little environmental details and some great set-pieces/action sequences. And the whole game is free!
So glad you enjoyed the game!
Thanks so much for the lovely words about it 😊
My pleasure! It's a wonderful game. Especially impressive considering it's your first game! Awesome work, looking forward to seeing more Sheepy adventures! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamerthis is where counting sheep became a rogue like with a little bit of history, plus the reason is a toy plush is something……ancient…..😅
Saw an article about the game, well done
The game is awesome. Really liked both the graphic and sound design. Mechanics are simple but well done. Also, dash felt pretty generic until 23:00 where it felt game actually designed with it in mind rather than just thrown in without second doubt (totally not a mistake made by sega)))
Very cool game, like your art on artstation!
Best feature of this whole game: You can spin in the spinny chair.
czcams.com/video/yHrEGA_LjHU/video.html - Whee!
Just yes
This game really is adorable. In a way, we all had a living plushy protecting us from evil when we were young.
Nah. Some of us befriended our monsters instead. Never needed a stuffed animal then. I had a monster made of arms that lurked under my bed.
@@joshuaclemens1301 It's nice to know that your monster under your bed was there when you needed a hand.

Sheepy: “This sign can’t stop me because I can’t read!”
Sheepy doesn't play by the wools! :)

12:42 favorite moment.
Haha, yeah the swivel chair was a great touch!
So that's where the sheep runs off to when I fall asleep counting them...
Yeah, it's not un-ewe-sual for them to end up there!
Well done Sheepy, you did....something. Whatever you did, you did it well.
My best guess is there were 3-4 ancient artifacts in this society- however, Belgin INC found them while mining, and tried to use their magical properties to make money. This however, corrupted the artifacts and lead to everyone dying, and the entire mine being forgotten. Some time before Sheepy, a lone explorer delved the cave, restoring some of the equipment needed to travel, and somehow found his way through the entire dungeon, even somehow ending up on the flying island, where he was trapped and died.
Sheepy, the fourth artifact, possesses a sheep plush, and sets out to collect the arfifacts, only to bump into the corrupted bear plush, perhaps the "guardian" of the artifacts, Patches. Patchies is possessed by the evil, force of the artifacts created by the misuse. By defeating him and taking his double jump artifact, he slightly removes some of the corruption. The other artifacts are found throughout the adventure, Patches regains his original form and has more of the corruption removed from him, which eventually pops out as a dark, negative energy force. By returning the artifacts, they are able to open a portal back to the realm of the gods or elsewhere, but also removing their power from this world and the risk of corruption- which destroy the Evil force at the same time.
By leaving the way they did, they ensure no Belgin-like beings could ever misuse and endanger the world again.
....considering there was a smaller sheep plush in the control room, and a tiny anime doll in the same room, could the spirit of light alternatively been a small anime girl?
I thought of Dauntes Inferno, or whatever its called with that guy traveling to the 7 layers of hell and then to purgatory and then to Heaven.
Wow. I really like this concept! A mysterious force giving life toa toy that finds themselves in ruins of mankind's hubris. This has so much mystery and potential that I think it deserves to be expanded upon!
This is an awesome game for sure. I was totally in love the little sheepy. An the boosted run scene was just exhilarating. I just dont like when short games like this dont have a concrete ending. What happened after they portaled? Was the other one alright? What exactly happened down there? Goes to show you what good simple world building can do. Ask questions...
The pixel visuals were top notch. Sound design and music were all awesome. This totally deserves a sequel or successor.
Thank you for bringing these indie games to light once again ABG. You've played countless brilliant indie gems over the years, giving spotlights and attention to these well deserved game makers. When the Sheepy hit the "Geometry Dash" during the chapter of Passage Of Time, it really reminded me of Planet of Lana. A game which you also played and showcased before, and it's that segment when Lana was traversing from the ocean to a vast desert with her little blob cat during the middle section of the game. During that segment the song "Horizons" by Siobhan Wilson was played as the background music. Truly chilling, beautiful and euphoric! Another good piece that is Sheepy. Thanks for playing! Keep covering these treasures!
Than you very much for your kind words. It's a real pleasure to cover indie gems like this. I love a good cinematic platforming adventure and the soundtracks in Sheepy and Planet of Lana really elevated the experience. Glad you liked them! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamerhell your even the guy who introduced me to Laika: aged through blood. And that’s become my Indie GOTY 2023! You’re a great man, and your work is great as well. Thank you.
you can't fool me, this is one of these korean tearjerkers in disguise with some vague ambientalistic message... but i cried when the sheep saved the bear.
Haha, I think MrSuicideSheep is from Canada, but yeah, the ending was surprisingly emotional! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer BLAME CANADA!

Agnus piano solo Woooooo! With all seriousness that is some fine music.
How the fuck is something this good FREE? The music alone is brilliant, but the production values for the whole thing are worth *at least* $15. Amazing.
Three simple things I will always love in any kind of game: Reverbed piano, echoing sound effects and atmospheric lighting.
These three things will make anything atmospheric, large, alive and soothing.
Damn that was beautiful😢
Akso sheepy at 12:53😂
Now tune by 23:10 one of my favourite! Thank You! ....i'll never heard it without Your channel!👍👍👍
I love it, this game has amazing art, music and gameplay, i'm gonna get it right now, thank you for playing this game Alpha Beta Gamer!
Yeah, it's a wonderful little game!
lol the spinning chair😂😂😂
Bro I remember suicidesheep they were really nice man.
Screw it, I'm counthing this as a crossover video.
Again a cliffhanger ending, nothing is clear, everything is crumpled. These game makers are definitely having a creative crisis of the century.

epic sheepy particle accelerator
this feels like a chapter 1 to me, like it's just the first wold of a bigger game.
Sheep looks at sign
Sign: this area is officially forbidden for anyone to enter
Sheep: good thing I can't read
The chair turning into a particle accelerator

That was just both funny and sad
As someone who owns a plush sheep called Sheepy I’m totally getting this game
a sheep walking on two legs, that's insane!
Stop, you had me at "Dark Sci-Fi"
You could have just stayed on the keyboard at the beginning and I’d be plenty happy. What a treat this game seems!
I hope they weren't pulling the wool over our eyes with that ending(?)
I’m getting massive MO: Astray vibes from this game.
This is basically dark sci-fi Hollow Knight with a sheep and i love it! 😊
The drum and bass music though 😍
Such an awesome little work of art! Appreciate you sharing this one around ABG!
This is the reverse of cult sheep I think that's the name of the game
Reminds me of Limbo, which is great because I was looking for similar games.
wow, I saw this on steam, looked at its page and added it to library.
guess I really have to try this game out and come back to this vid.
edit:
it reminds me alot of another platformer "System Purge", but this other one is more difficult.
edit2:
I hope the ram/sheep from STAND-ALONE will be friends with Sheepy
Mqn i love this collab was subscribed to both of you since the humble beginning of your channels
That was an exceptionally well directed game.
It feels like there should be more to this game.
This game is beautiful
Limbo with sheep😆
This seems heavily inspired by Rainworld
This has almost nothing to do with Rain World
@@EmpireOfTheUnityare we watching the same game? Everything from the art and sound direction to the atmosphere are very similar
@@paradonyx7987 I don't associate Rain World with only art, there are far more larger aspects of the game that take my attention and could be used for inspiration, the ecosystem simulation, the AI, the storytelling, physics movement, and art and sound design could've been taken from many other games
Too scary for baa baa black sheep have you any wool
Is giving rain world but the visuals and story look better, like a holesome show had a baby with a horror game
It's sheepy, but is it *Watasheepy?*
Is that a fumo on the console at 12:29?
Hola me saludas👋❤
Mario!
Can you tell this game was inspired by Rayarks games?
Eto bylo prekrasno I eto pechal'no izvestnoye dvizheniye v takt tozhse. 🎉
8:55 Man, those two s perms have a really hard time finding the ovum, huh?
Bro think he rainworld
The only thing I hate about games like this is they're all basically the same game with a different main character.. The environments are always exactly the same.
the gameplay is kinda borng but that soundtrack is fucking great
