    very nice and salute that you build it alone without proper table and other person help.

      I appreciate the kind words and attention to detail. I realize that I enjoy the challenge of tinkering solo.

    Great-looking build. Any noise/whistling coming from the rack at highway speeds?

      When I took it on city roads, I didn’t notice any wind noise. I attribute that to the rack being low profile and mounted farther back on the camper shell. I wish I tested it before I installed the accessories (awning, shower curtain, recovery tracks and shower tank).

      Now that I’ve had all my accessories mounted and got the truck on the road, it’s not bad at all. Having the rack on the camper makes a huge difference in wind noise.

    Very well made, I like it! Did you install the canopy base tracks, or did they come on the canopy?

      I had a Yakima roof rack installed, then I sold the towers and cross-bars, kept the tracks and repurposed for my roof-rack. Thank you for the kind words.

      @@bassamawadThanks, I'm looking at installing base sliders first, then building it up from there. I have the same idea as you on building my own version of the Prinsu rack. Cheers 🍻

    Question, did the extrusion already came with treads or you had to do it yourself?

    • @bassamawad
      @bassamawad  Před rokem

      I ordered the six 2x1 extension cross bars tapped and threaded. I had to tap the seventh one at the front of the rack (angled).

      I have a detailed list in the description; The rails were from eBay, the mounting brackets (towers) were from sherpaec.com/, and the aluminum extrusion bars were from www.tnutz.com/.

    Good idea, song is torture. Turn off the sound if watching this, the music never goes away.
