Absolutely some strange and unusual pieces. I must say I have never seen anything like that storm metallic art piece. All that said, I think the best thing that you picked up was that Ms Marvel book. I am a comic book guy first and foremost and will always go for that over art pieces.

Some great pick ups Mike. So great to always have your son enjoying the same hobby too. Love the comics you got. I just feel so old now, because I am. Almost 63 in a month. I bought all three of those Marvel books new. The X-Men fanzine/Index I think around 1982? Along with the I believe Spider-Man, DD & FF ones too when I was like 19-20 or bit younger. The SHIELD series I bought when I was like 6 or 7 years old. And like 16 or 17 in 78 Ms.Marvel. I wasn't a big fan of the character. But bought it for the art, villains and of course J Jonah Jameson. I miss all my old artists buddies too. A lot of the original Marvel Bullpenners. All were sweet people to meet, and chat with. Met only a very few in person. But got to know them through other artists/inkers and writers too. NUFF SAID Congrads!

Usual great video, those FantaCo zines even made it over to this side of the world. Found the Fantastic Four Chronicles over in Melbourne, Australia back in the late 80s and the Daredevil issue here in NZ. Some good hardcore interviews in those mags!

You’re very lucky man. Great to have, book friends and people who are into books as you are everything was great specially the books. Wow incredible congratulations on all the books that you received and were able to get specially, those prints they’re Great can’t wait for your next episode congratulation on your great channel one of the best Comic Book advice I’ve gotten helps me keep up with my collection now thank you I also collect the X-Men. All the best stories are also happening in Marvel's and DC's reprint volumes. New comics from the Big 2 have become less and less interesting and rewarding for me, with a couple of exceptions. Most of my reading is of my own Silver and Bronze Age back issues plus trades of books I don't have from these two eras.
That issue of Nick Fury also reflects the popularity of the Gothic style's revival spearheaded by the success of the tv series "Dark Shadows" in the late 60s/early70s.
The difference between cameo and first appearance is negligible except that dealers who have one or the other comic to sell will push one book or the other as the first "true" appearance. But really, they're just labels.
That is an impressive piece of art.
