    Thanks. I didn't hear whether you had to notch the front cross member to get the oil pan to fit with enough clearance with motor vibration. I swapped and LS3 in a 69 camaro, used Holley motor Mounts and oil pan. We cleared it but still felt notching it gave us the extra room we wanted.

    • @rogo2287
      @rogo2287 Před 3 lety

      Also I utilized this Holley Terminator X and Holley mid rise intake. I did have to notch a very tiny piece of the underside of the hood to clear the intake to close. But, in my view that is a very small thing to do to get this install. This mid rise intake is very trick looking and well worth it. I also had the cap powder coated red and slight pin stripe across the top. Looks great and performs well.

    Great video...super informative.
    I'm swapping an LS1 out of a Holden Commodore (effectively the same as the 2004 GTO) into a 1967 Firebird (with a 4l60e). I have the AAW Classic Update kit and have been tossing around the idea of getting Dakota Digital gauges. What's your recommendation on the gauges, noting I'm looking to keep the externals looking as classic as possible, despite the drivetrain upgrades? And what else am i going to need to match those gauges with the AAW kit and the drivetrain? Any other tips that come to mind with that combo when it comes to the electronics would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  Před 3 lety +2

      We use Dakota Digital on nearly every build. If you are looking for a gauge package that looks more like the factory style gauges, Classic Instruments makes a reay nice set. AAW makes installing aftermarket gauges easy by having a break out from the main harness just for gauges.

    I've been restoring a 69 camaro and have a t56 trans I'm going to use (and I'm getting an lsx 376 supercharged engine from boost district). I've heard it both ways, that the t56 will bolt right up and fit perfect, and I've also heard that you have to modify the trans tunnel to make them fit. I have the correct transmission mount for under the car but I'm curious if I need to modify the trans them before I go any further with finishing the inside of the car. The nice thing is it has a brand new floor plan with no hole so I can make it really nice and put the hole where ever I'd like without needing to patch any existing holes. But from the looks of it I need a trans hump "extension" piece from the majority of videos I've seen to make it fit correctly. Any advice on what to get? Or any other tips?

The Tr6060 was also longer which caused required modifications of the T56 cross member kit to fit. You will also need to connect the oil cooler lines together (this is pump driven and cannot be plugged). Good luck!

      @@Zero2SixtyPerformance how long does it take from getting the first gen to having it completed? I’m looking to have an LS3 and 4l60e put into my 68, but I’m from Canada. I’d have to drive it down and stay down there until finished. Any idea on a price for a LS3 cammed and 4l60e swapped in? Round about price is fine.

    Would prefer to know what is the best to use, period. You are a little all over the place discussing what was used because it came with car. Have to watch several times to decipher what you are saying.

    This was painful to get through. Can you possibly work on finishing a single sentence without the "ahhh"?
