I over seeded my gross awful lawn last fall with annual ryegrass. It looks so amazing all winter, here in Atlanta area in Early march. Can I just put out a tall fescue grass now to start dealing with my lawn. And then over seed again with an annual ryegrass in the fall?
In the south ryegrass is temporary and in the next few weeks you will grow to hate annual ryegrass because of the growth habit it’s going to take on. Make an attempt to seed with fescue now …. By the end of the summer it won’t look so great and then seed with fescue again in the fall . Fescue and annual ryegrass will not mix together the color of the fescue is way darker also the ryegrass will start to poison its competition when it’s stressed so mixed lawn will look terrible
