The first move taught in Judo is Osotogari. You spend months prior slapping the mat or floor. Then obviously a leg sweep with positioning and hand pressure... guides a now off balance opponent down.
    Begginners litterally "first" baby step.
This guy is trained to remain in a zone of simplicity. He addresses the obvious with all sorts of basic simple foot and hip placement. It buys you time to" feel "out the rest of the move. In boxing it would translate to "astounding" footwork ! Yet it is found through repetition of basics. Amazing to watch.!!
