- Virtually unknown until the 1970s, the Dr. Oliver Bronson House serves as one of the best and earliest remaining examples of the “Hudson River Bracketed" architectural style. In October 2023, I was able to photograph and document this architectural gem as part of a permission tour.

I am baffled as to why no one has restored it to its original beauty. Even if the county (if anything) can make it an historical landmark/museum if they invest in it’s renovation 🙏🏽❤
it is an national historic landmark, and the house is being restored by Historic Hudson. Should have said that in the beginning, instead of making it believe is abandoned. And you can visit the house

I too love exploring and was fortunate to go to Angkor Wat in Cambodia in 2003 before a lot the ropes went up, so you know I was in and out of everything!
I don’t usually describe things as “trippy” but that staircase! Beautiful to look at but it also looks like a murder scene from an Agatha Christie/PBS special
