- This video details our first month in the gold fields, its March and extremely hot so we are just digging and panning for the first month until we set off metal detecting a patch l found in 2019, we have found a lot of small pieces in the creek so far and have certainly enjoyed it, l hope you do too, cheers NM.

In 1966 I was fortunate, as a 16 year old American, to live in Perth and take a family road trip to Kalgoorlie for a couple days. We had a wonderful time. Miners at the pub gave my dad little vials of gold for us “yank” kids. I remember endless mounds of red dirt. The landscape is amazing. Your prospecting brings me wonderful memories of the outback, to enjoy in my old age. I live well, always appreciating gold and silver. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Great video having fun filling the buckets etc,, I was out at Coolgardie with a group in February, I did the same dug around and under granite in a dry creek bed bought a few buckets home,, haven't gone through all yet but no luck so far...

With this carona mess i thought you may of missed a year or 2 of chasing the yellow stuff.... my bad for doubting the man, the myth, the legend himself Russel 'TheNuggetMagnet' . I remember mentioning a year or 2 back about when we chatted on Patreon, Nick (ROC) how you should be running some of that dirt for the small stuff and if you ever needed a hand i would love to get out and about. I'm glad to see you branching out from just detecting and if you ever drop a claim to work a area i am always here as i also have got into sluicing with the carona boarder shutdowns keeping me stuck in South Aus, but my GPX 5000 still holds up with my latest coil the Mono Elite Coiltech 14". My next thing is a ball mill using a cement mixer and welding a tromel together that fit's and bolts onto a trailer. Who knows, maybe we can end up as a new team on Aussie Gold Hunters... maybe 😁
Gidday Nick, it sure made 2020 impossible with WA being closed but after going up thru the NT we made in Dec before they closed again, l have my youngest son with me this yr testing that creek to see how deep it goes and to see if its a viable option, l will probably keep the prospecting as a hobby and forget the claims after finding all the red tape you go through, l looked into it last yr and its quite the process, but if l do need a hand mate l will yell out, l think the trommel would work well if you could get the water out here, would be way faster than panning, good to hear from you mate and talk again soon, cheers Russell.

NM I like the idea of drying the clay and dry blowing it. Alternate method we used on clay was to lay it out and burn it. This kills the clay and is easy to treat.

@@TheNuggetMagnet haven't really been doing much prospecting last few months, I don't like trudging through the Bush in the heat it wears you out too quick. But I'll start getting back into it now it's cooling off.

Cheers mate, yes same settings with the new coil, picks up a little bit more interference but stills runs quiet enough for those faint signals, cheers again NM.
i'm sure you have gatorade over there. if you have all that water you get the powdered gatorade and mix it up. i go out to the mojave (mohave). desert me california (usa). but you can mix up the gatorade when you need it. i look for gold. but soon to hot. in the mountains. with my gold monster. you have a good day boss.

Hi mate, for the best weather its May till November, you would apply online at the DMP website for 2 miners rights then download a citrix reciever to open Tengraph Web all found on the DMP website, "Dept of Mines and Petroleum" Western Australia, open Tengraph and you can see light blue areas, these leases are pending and legal to detect on or you can purchase a 40e permit and detect exploration leases, hope this gives you the start you need, cheers NM.
