I ve Landed in Canada on jan 25
My original program was supposed to start from February 05 but the seats were packed so i asked college for next intake i.e may 2024 on which my course wasn't available, so i decided to choose another course within the same college starting from May. So do you think i have to worry about these 3 months gap since i am not studying anything still being in Canada. Will it effect my PGWP and PR??

I my visa has been approved with CIMT LOA I’m supposed to begin classes in march, I’m still in my home country Ghana, but want to change my apply for DLI with PGWP can I start applying to such schools while still in my home country? Hi Peter, my study visa came late so I had to defer my program which was scheduled to start January 2024 to next intake. Problem is, next intake is in January 2025, one year away. Can I still travel to Canada with the study visa and start a new 8 month program in a college with available intake in January or February? Then go back to old DLI in 2025?

I went to Canada for study permit and attended 1st semester but due to family emergency situation, I had to return back to India and I refunded my fees for 2nd semester. Now I got new offer letter at new province, new DLI for next upcoming intake. I am currently outside Canada and I have withdraw the course from the previous college. Shall I update IRCC via transfer DLI option or should I need to re-filling again for new study application ?
You have to apply for a new study permit.
If you were inside Canada, you could change without having to apply for a new study permit.

Unfortunately, pregnancy and it’s complications, I stopped school right after 2months of studies. I informed my school about the situation and had to stay off from studies.
After delivery, I applied for a new school and has paid my tuition deposit now.
I have currently informed my first school about my intentions to study at a different college.
Now I want to inform IRCC about the new admission, do I need attention even though I’m still in Canada? And how do I go about it pls?
If you get admission into a new school, you can inform ircc through your Gc key account about the change in DLI.

If your outside canada and changing from one program to another and from one semester to another but maintaining the same DLI because you missed the enrollment date, do you still need a new study permit?

Hi sir, I will land in Canada for making a refund to change to another college before the course started one month (already have LOA from another college). In this case, is it feasible to ask for a refund? And I need to submit the DLI first or ask for the refund first? Or ask for the refund and then submit the DLI right after it?
Might be better to ask for a refund before sending the new DLI letter.

I applied for a postgraduate program at George brown college since January for September 2023, I have been waiting for a decision on my application but nothing yet, I email them and they said they process international applications on a selective basis. On a program-by-program basis am just tired a I don’t know what to do.
I also applied for NSCC when you posted a video about the collage, after i paid for the application fee after a day or 2 I got an email from them that International admissions for September programs have closed and application will be move to next intake.
You should be looking at Jan 2024 now.

You can't show ircc a different admission letter other than the one you used for admission at the border.
You have to check ircc website on this issue.

Hey! Firstly, thank you for this useful information! I'm currently enrolled in the University of Manitoba (province: Manitoba) from January 2023 and will be staying here until April 2024. I want to transfer to Lethbridge college (province: Alberta) for the Fall 2024 intake. Let's say I withdraw from the University of Manitoba in August 2024 and notify IRCC at this point. Since I'm technically a student during the summer break from May 2024 to August 2024 (although I won't be taking any summer classes), will I still be able to legally work during that time? Also, moving to another college in another province is not a problem with IRCC right? Your help in answering these questions is greatly appreciated!

@@PeterIsesele I submitted my passport for visa in Lagos myself. I collected my study permit at Canada airport too . The only issue is that the agent didn’t give me the ircc login. So I opened a new one and I want to pull my information so I can change my dli but it keeps saying record not found.

If you change DLI outside of Canada, you have to apply for another study permit.
Your best option is to request a deferral, if possible...or apply to the same program for another start date.
