It’s not an INXS song, it’s a cover of an Easybeats song, it was recorded to support a tour called Australian Made that they co-headlined in 86-87.
Jimmy has continued to perform the song with various other singers throughout the years..

It’s sad that Michael left us in his prime but amazing that Jimmy is still rocking.

Jimmy is the master of duets. His voice blends so well with anyobe he teams up with. You should check out You'll Never Walk Alone which he sings with his son David Campbell. 2 masterful voices. You can tell they are father and son by the similarities in their voices.

Okay, that was fun. Brilliant cover of The Easybeats' 1960's classic. So not surprised you both enjoyed that.

SO SO good !!! I've heard Jimmy do this song on stage a few times over the years. Michael just added more energy to the song.
    Great performance by both.

Jimmy and Michael have such distinctive voices. Jimmy does sound like he's screaming... but he actually has a vibrato when he's using his most powerful voice, and a real scream doesn't have a vibrato in it. Imagining screaming 'help' at the top of your lungs. You can 'hear' yourself, and your voice doesn't have that vibrato. I don't know how Jimmy found that constant vocal power while still actually singing instead of screaming, and without blowing out his voice in an insanely long career, but here we are.
I wish we had had Michael for longer, I love his voice to, and INXS was one of the best bands of the 80s.

Oh I just love you two and how you’ve fallen in love with our boy Jimmy (oh by the way he’s a bit sick with Covid right now!) Also I’ll keep reminding you politely please don’t forget my request to do You’ll Never Walk Alone- which is sung by Jimmy and his eldest son David Campbell. It is special because they didn’t even know each other as father/son until David was 10 so they had a really rough relationship for so long and this song shows that as adults, they now have the most incredible bond. No screaming Jimmy but definitely a different side to him I think you’ll appreciate.

It's a fantastic cover of an old Esybeats song! The Easybeats were another Australian band. I think they go back to the '60s. if not, the '70s.

I want to share a good song by an Australian artist from the 70’s. Worth a listen. It is in three parts each part unique telling a story. Lovely song which has been covered by many
Stevie Wright- Evie parts 1, 2 and 3.

  • @Rassskle

I think Good Times was originally an Easybeats song...... so from the 1960’s and probably written by Harry Vanda and George Young...... the older brother of Malcolm and Angus from AC/DC.
As a point of interest....... George, Malcom and Angus Young ( Easybeats & AC/DC ), Jimmy Barnes and older brother John Swan as well as John Farnham, Olivia Newton- John, The Bee Gees , Billy Thorpe , Little Pattie and her cousin Chrissy Amphlette and many more migrated to Australia as children.
Has been accepted historically that they all arrived here on the same ship and same voyage....... over half of our rock and pop legends . lol

This song was made big by Cold Chisel before INXS came along. Jimmy and Michael were good mates and Michael asked Jimmy to do a song with him and this is what they chose. Jimmy has sung this song with so many other's hear is a list off the top of my head. Keith urban. Johnny Diesel, Jessica Mauboy, Bon Jovi, INXS.
