- Kudo Daido Juku é um mixed martial arts japonês com elementos de diversas outras artes marciais como o Kyokushin, judo, mma, kickboxing, muay thai, karate, Taekwondo, sambo russo e muitas outras, foi criado em 1981 pelo grão mestre Azuma Takashi que era discípulo de Masutatsu (Mas) Oyama 大山倍達 Ōyama Masutatsu criador do estilo de Karatê Kyokushin kai ou Oyama-Ryu. Azuma Takashi também era mestre em Judô. O Kudo é a arte marcial que mais cresce no mundo, e prima pela realidade de combate junto com os preceitos das artes marciais orientais, no Kudo se utilizam golpes de atemi-waza: socos, chutes, cabeçadas, joelhadas, cotoveladas, elementos do nage-waza: projeções e quedas, e elementos do ne-waza: finalizações como chaves de braço, perna, pescoço etc e a luta de solo, é uma arte marcial realista e moderna.

As a guy who started martial arts at age 11 with Kyokushin Karate, and picked up Judo at 12, and training both religiously until about age 19, when I moved on to Muay Thai and BJJ...this right here is absolutely screaming to my soul, and pulling hard on my heart strings. I absolutely LOVE IT, and am wondering why I'm just now discovering this??

This is freaking savage. It looks like a wild and dirty underground version of karate/judo where they removed all the stuff that get in the way of effectiveness, I love it. These guys are beasts that could rip you to pieces you just don’t wanna mess with.

Both types of fights during competitions are messy in my opinion.

@@jean4j_ you're actually right on Kyokushin having better technique, this is from a Kyokushin practitioner myself
@@dakentaijutsu2010 I guess that's just inevitable. The more diverse the martial art is, the less skilled people get in each specific area of fighting (striking, grappling, ground fighting)
Do you see any other reason why Kyokushin fighters are more technical?

Some of the takedowns, and the way they are set up by striking is really phenomenal. The helmets are allowing some pretty sloppy punching since they don't need to be as accurate, and knockouts are less likely. Still, I'd buy a ticket to watch in person if it was reasonably priced
Don't forget fighters lose prudence as they feel unbreakable with that helmet.

Not really, you need to be even more precise because the vulnerable area on the head is even smaller.
Yes and no. I can definitely see fighters being alot less cautious while wearing headgear that also shields the face. Absolutely. It definitely saves you from being cut, and getting blackeyes. Guys are more likely to trade hits, and take hits to give hits, throwing caution to the wind, along with proper head movements and defense. I agree 100%
But headgear, no matter how good it is, doesn't protect the brain itself from the impact of the strikes. The brain still gets rattled by hard shots, and much damage can still be done by that impact. All in all tho..I really like this sport and its definitely exciting to watch. Id love to hear some of other thoughts on the headgear tho. I see that they are allowed to deliver headbutt strikes...
@@mattjack3983 A guy over on r/judo gave a review on them. He came from a traditional Karate school and had a couple of his students try sparring with them. Basically it made head movement more difficult while increasing the "hit box." However, it does offer cut protection and allow for headbutts in such a way that a sports commission wouldn't absolutely lose their minds. So trade-offs, I guess...

Strikes are not great because the clinching gam won’t takedowns is more important .

@@fabriciop5287 judô fez um treino depois de velho e não curti não. Da uma queda e depois fica costelando o chão por uma hora. Melhor ficar tomando pancada que ficar levando queda o tempo todo.

Em 1978 eu treinei em Jacareí SP com um professor japonês chamado Akira um estilo de arte marcial sem NOME que era disso para pior sem luvas e protetores , que segundo ele era um estilo de luta de ataque e defesa que só era praticado escondido pelos antigos japoneses , mas perante a lei era proibido porque não tinha regras .
Nós fazíamos combates descalços, no chão de terra batida muitas vezes debaixo de chuva e sol quente e contra vários adversários ao mesmo tempo.
Nós mais graduados fazíamos treinamento de defesa contra paulada e facas de verdade .
É o mais interessante é que ninguém nunca sofreu lesões sérias, durante os treinos éramos amigos, durante o combate éramos inimigos mortais , depois do combate éramos todos irmãos e amigos até hj , todos com mais de 50anos .

Wow! Great highlights! I’ll need to check out the rules, but it basically looks like MMA with gi. Having the gi gives the opportunity for more throws and chokes. The women were just as aggressive as the men. Respect to all.
Time is limited on the ground to less than a minute to make it realistic, sometimes groin kick and headbutt is allowed.

@@Eric3Frog you can check directly on the kudo headquarters website, they provide a listing I recall, or ask where/who is closest representative. If nothing available nearby just go for judo and kyokushin (+ or muaythai/kickboxing) until you're able to travel.

Très belle école créée par Maitre Azuma Takashi dans les années qu'il avait dénommée tout d'abord Daido juku. Il a été de Masutatsu Ōyama. Ce n'est pas le premier qui avait songé à rajouter les techniques de judo au kyokushin. Le grand champion hollandais, Jon Bluming, le lui avait proposé dans les années 70. Il était précurseur. Il avait même créé sa propre école qui existe toujours : le kyokunshin budokai. Nous-mêmes en France, dans les années 80, avons suivi une même évolution en mixant le pied-poing, les projections et le combat au sol. 👊🇫🇷

This is similar to American sport jujitsu (not jiujitsu)... Unfortunately it never really took of. I remember in 96 I was preparing for a comp and we were practicing everything. throws, strikes, standing locks (which never worked) and grappling. Unfortunately I never made it to the competion as brazilian jiujitsu first came to my city and I really just loved straight grappling the most

These take-downs are amazing, a couple really phenomenal.
But to improve this art you should learn to box from someone professional, at least enough just to learn the fundamentals of not telegraphing and gaining the ability to land more efficient punches.
What does telegraphing men ?
@@majdikamal1389 it means throwing a punch in a obvious manner that a boxer can see it from a mile away.
I think that could happen also by the type of headgear they use. It's to big so they don't rely in head movement or in proper blocking.
They actually do cross train in boxing. The head gear is super deoxygenating and also makes it really difficult to punch.
for some reason this karate style is not famous enough among all martial arts . I hope it finds its way and become famous as it deserves . I also hope that some kudo fighters decide to join ufc . this way kudo will have its chance to compete against other martial arts and prove itself

Kudo is so awesome. If I were to dedicate my life to a single martial art, earning belts 'n shit, Kudo would definitely be the one art where I could safely feel proud of myself. It's got the whole package, a good kudoka can do pretty much everything that's useful in a fight.
Wow, I just discovered this too. Watching high octane fighting gave me an adrenaline rush similar to my first viewing of the movie 300.

Sempre gostei de judô misturado com lutas de contato, da muito certo.
Bem observado, o Kudo se originou inicialmente de uma mistura de judo com kyokushin, artes das quais o seu criador era 3° e 4° dan respectivamente, também com elementos do muay thai, com o passar do tempo várias técnicas de diversas artes marciais foram sendo inseridas, algumas delas do sambo, visto que a Rússia é o país com mais kudocas no mundo, dê uma olhada nesse vídeo que explica as origens e desenvolvimento da arte:

A técnica de mão e chão são bem mais ou menos, mas a parte de queda e chute parece bem desenvolvida. Bem legal, gostei.
A técnica de chão com ctz não é tão trabalhada assim como uma arte especializada em luta de solo como o Jiu Jitsu, geralmente se trabalha as quedas para o oponente já cair com vc partindo pra finalização. Agora os socos talvez te deram a impressão de não serem técnicos mas na verdade isso acontece pelo modo que são marcados os pontos no competição de kudo, para entrar ponto com soco o adversário tem que acusar o golpe, e isso dificilmente acontece com um jab por exemplo, então os jabs são menos utilizados que num mma por exemplo, oq se usa mto são os cruzados, pq a probabilidade de aumentar a contundência com o cruzado é bem maior, outra forma de marcar ponto é bater por 4 segundos ou mais sem que o adversário consiga reagir, dessa forma mtos lutadores optam em partir pra cima desferindo o maior número de golpes possíveis, e o adversário geralmente tenta contra atacar assim q se inicia essa "chuva de golpes", pq se ele demorar mto a esboçar reação vai perder pontos, por isso se vê mto essa troca de golpes qse q incessantes, essa forma de usar os socos é mais pela dinâmica da luta e adequação as regras visando ganhar a luta, pq qdo vc vê uma luta de um profissional de kudo no mma ou muay thai ou qualquer outro modalidade de trocaçao, esses profissionais estarão usando as técnicas de soco padrão da modalidade, deixarei 2 links, o primeiro mostrando 2 lutadores de kudo que tem carreiras tb no mma profissional, e no segundo 1 lutador de kudo que tb luta no karate combat, dê uma olhada que vc vai notar que o forma de socar mudo de acordo com as regras:

Socos realistas numa luta real ninguém dá soco bonitinho do manual de caratê e nem socos desenhados de boxe de luvas gigantes de espuma, até boxeadores dão socos assim em brigas de rua

Thanks for posting this video. I looked into it well over 10 years ago and couldn't find a school in North America. I wonder if that has changed.
This could have been my sport 10 years ago before my last knee surgery. I have a brown belt in Karate, brown belt in Judo, and purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu but couldn't quite put it all together for mma.
