Great recipe! The muscle mommy tank is powerful 😂💪🏻
Thank you! Lol
Great video!!!😊 I'm a newbie. What is this starter? Do you buy it or make it yourself? What is the recipe and tools used to make starter (if you make starter)??? THANKS
I made one once, it sucked. I quit. but I'm gonna make another one soon cuz of this channel
Awesome!! ❤ sourdough is totally learn as you go… the more you practice the better you’ll get!
Thanks for adding plenty of details many videos do not have them, and I need all the details I can get LOL I have successfully made sourdough and it is delicious just curious I don't ever use any special baskets or anything like that what kind of towel was it you had I never use a towel because I'm always afraid there's going to be hairs or fuzz or something on it
Looks like you only bulked fermented for an hour on the counter? How did it double in a hour?
Here for the answer you may never get. It also doesn’t even look sticky 😮
Why does it look underproofed. The crust doesn’t look right or something.
Question:
I’m looking at your recipe for making sourdough in one day. I’m new to all of this, and I was wondering why we start the night before with the starter. I asked because I’m off and up quite early, around 5 AM, and I feed my starter then. Within four hours it’s ready. I tested a spoonful to see if it floated, and it did. Would that be OK? Or should I stick with feeding the night before?
Yes that is totally fine! I just made it the night before to keep the timing simple for this video!
How old is your starter? Those were some great holes in the bread!
That looks great! Would all purpose flour work?
You could use all purpose but it has a lower protein content than bread flour which can make your loaf more dense and have smaller bubbles inside.
@@MuscleMommaSourdough Oh, that’s good to know. Thanks!
I just finished the dough today, it’s a bit tougher than shown in the video but hopefully it will turn out fine. I’ll be baking the bread in the morning, I’ll comment when I’m done.
The bread was really doughy and tough but I’m 100% sure it’s my fault, I used half cups instead of full cups so I probably put in 9 half cups by accident when all I needed was 8. I’m making another one and the dough looks so much better already
@@IRllyLikeDeathSitter oh no! Keep me updated! If your dough ever looks too dry you can add more water than the recipe calls for. It’ll vary depending on your climate and home temp!
What if you tear the doe as we're stretching it?
Do you have easy brioche recipe❤?
Instead of a bowl can I use a proofing basket in the fridge
Yes if you have one, that’s best to use!
I'm new to sourdough. I've tried to make a few, and I'm not happy with the results. My dough is usually too wet because I can't shape it. This is after all my fold and stretches. The second problem I'm having is that the bottom of my bread is too hard. Help!!!!
I’m am very new at bread making but never to old to learn something new!
I’m a 69 years old country girl!
My question is this!
I live in my grandma house! So it’s old n drafty n usually kinda chilly!
Where n how do I do my dough for it to rise right! Doesn’t it have to be kinda warm for it to rise right?
Please help with this issue!
Thanks so much!
Yes the yeast love warmth! You could put it in the oven with the light on or they sell warming proofing mats online if that doesn’t work! Congrats on learning sourdough, you will love it, it’s so much fun!
@@MuscleMommaSourdough thank you for advice!
My dough rose excellent in the fridge but the stuck to the towel in the fridge and couldn't get it out of the bowl layer without the top sticking- ruined the whole loaf and it went flat.
Hi can you add the starter recipe and bread recipe in grams too please? Thanking you. Patricia
How to make a starter
Do you have a good starter recipe?
Coming soon!
But you do not know how to make yeast that is not sour, and has enough potency to fully bloom the dough in 30 minutes, as apposed to 1 or 2 hours. 🧐
