- In 2012 werden voor de toen 18-jarige Gert van Hoef 2 concerten vastgelegd op DVD.
Omdat deze DVD's inmiddels niet meer zijn opgenomen in het assortiment van Gert zijn webshop heeft hij besloten de registratie van deze concerten beschikbaar te maken op CZcams.

Because these DVDs are no longer included in Gert's range of products on his Webshop he has decided to make the registration of these concerts available on CZcams.

Hello from Waterville Maine USA. I love this video so much I watch it once a week! I Love the way Gert & Jan work together on Improvisation about revival 124 'I build on you' , it is so beautiful. It is so nice to see two young men having fun making the "King of Instruments" make such Heavenly sounds.Bravo!

I enjoy all the concerts recorded, but this concert is my favorite one.
That last hymn improvisation was spectacular ! Your rendition made my heart sing.. I remember it from years of church singing since childhood. To you both , many thanks for this soul lifting concert.

I totally agree. Since we get to listen to his music, It would be great to set up a fund in his name to help various charitable organizations. Not sure how this can be set up but I would certainly be willing to contribute a small payment for the privilege of listening to Gert. Gert could pick the cause.

Such a surprise to see and hear this wonderful compilation . Some I have never heard before. The most poignant one for me, and one of my favourites was "Lamentation" So fitting for Rememberence Day. I also thought that you nailed it with "Toccata" by Widor. Fantastic performance Gert you never fail. Thank you so much.

The beautiful piano pieces were a welcome surprise. Moonlight Sonata brings back childhood memories of visiting the little chapel at Knott's Berry Farm Amusement Park in Anaheim, California. This song was played while we sat quietly and watched some doors open and an image of Christ appeared with his eyes closed. As the music built, He slowly opened His eyes and that was so beautiful and Holy to me. Thank you, Gert, for bringing this memory back to me. ❤️

Mr. van Hoef is the 2nd coming of the organist at Riverside Church, & elsewhere, Virgil Fox. The greatest since I such organist like Fox left us.
I'd like to mention Douglas Marshall here. He had been studying a long time with Virgil Fox and keeps his legacy alive until today. Go to 'Organpower' here on CZcams to hear him play.

As always, another great performance. I really liked the piano playing too. I'd love to hear you play my favorite song, Chopin Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, No. 2. Moonlight Sonata was another favorite of mine. Always love watching your videos Gert.
