It looks amezing but why are you using leather cleanser on canvas? The lv monogram print is a coated fabric, so the leather conditioner doesnt really do everything

Handbagholic i always like to use some water with a soft soap. I always try to use the least chemicals as possible. For quick clean ups i always use huggies baby wipes.

I don't understand why you would be using leather products on a canvas ? You stated the leather conditioner would stop it cracking, but canvas doesn't crack. I have 8 trunks dating from the 1940's onwards. None of them have cracks, and none of them have been cleaned. I want to clean and polish my trunks, but I don't want to do anything to them that may not be suitable for a canvas. Did an expert restorer give you any advice ?

Hi, correct it's a coated canvas. I use the cleaner on all my canvas and it just removes the dirt and doesn't harm the canvas in any way.

@@Handbagholic That's fair enough. But how can the Leather Conditioner condition a canvas ? It's not a breathing material like leather. It's not porous, which of course, is the whole point of the original LV luggage as it was supposed to float or not be damaged by water.

All the trim around the top & sides is leather, including the handle. Leather cleaner won’t hurt the canvas either.

Hi Kathryn, it works perfectly well on the canvas to clean it. If you clean yours with something else thats great.

Youd be surprised to know that 90% of LV bags is plastic and canvas, not leather. Cheap af

Only a fool thinks they are leather. They were made of canvas so they could float if a ship was in an accident. Maybe learn about the history of LV first ?
