I wanted to record this vlog for a while, but I kept thinking that I will change my mind. In this video I am sharing reasons why I stopped buying Chanel bags.

I agree about the price increase, it’s so high. I still have a few classic flaps on my wish list but I think I can only get one, max two 😔

All good points. I’m not gonna lie, I wanted to collect the cf in many colors. I ended up starting too late and stopped after 2. I don’t want to pay today’s price for it. You have the best collection, I think it’s smart to enjoy what you have, you have so many nice colors. 💕

All excellent points. I am still buying Chanel, but not classic flaps. The cost has gone from crazy to stark-raving-lunatic-mad. I can do crazy, but that is as far as I will go 😊

You are so blessed with your collections dear. I just regret Chanel didn"t grow in me when it was cheaper way back 2007 but I am so grateful at least it wasnt too late when I started last 2019 and got 3 beautiful bags, 1 pair of shoes plus humble amount of accessories.🥰🎀💖

Your style always elegant and classic and I think you have all colors women can dream 😊 the price is getting out control , I’m also longtime chanel lover and have enough , we all should at one point happy and enjoy what we have now :-) . I would like to see life vlog in Singapore instead and want to know what area there good for foreigners, hope one day you can explain more about living in Singapore 😊.

I wish I started my Chanel bag collection years ago. I feel like I can only add 2-3 bags maximum. It has become so expensive and hard to get classic flaps these days 😔

I love your whole collection of Chanel bags. It’s so beautiful and special. I completely agree about the price increases and games. I wish Karl was still alive. He was a legend and had an amazing strategy for the brand. I still haven’t collected all the bags that I need. I will have to get at least 3-4 bags to be at peace with my collection.

Thanks. I have similar experience with Chanel. The last bag I bought was 2020 and I don't have a CA anymore. I have enough bags to use and I don't go out that much now as I work a lot more at home. The price increase is definitely one reason I stopped buying. Also, I prefer Karl's design more, so I cherish my old bags but don't have motivation to get new ones.

Your space could use more decor. You do have a stunning bag collection and gorgeous clothes. I agree with everything you said though. Enough is enough. I am a collector of many things but I pride myself on knowing when to stop. I have over done it on a number of things like perfume and I scaled down my collection letting my daughter sell my excess for me. But it is good to know when to stop and not fall into the trap of buying to buy.
Thanks hon, but I am not showing my home in my vlogs. All viewers can see is see is the same spot and I do this for security reasons. I have enough paintings, ornaments and decorations.

To be honest I was even ready to accept the new price increase, but Hermes’s game puts me off. I wish Chanel just stayed Chanel under Karl 😔 I also still like CF, it’s such a beautiful design

My biggest regret is not starting early lol I only got to liking chanel in 2022 and by then the prices were already crazy and It just kept increasing and I still kept buying lol. I really wish I started sooner! Haha

After so many Chanel bags I realise I still only love classic flaps. The last one I got was last year a grey caviar. I wish I got it from 20c when it was still sgd 8000+. Nonetheless I stopped buying Chanel now too. Don't even feel like keeping track of the latest seasons anymore xoxoxo
Indeed, it’s the only design I love for so many years. I find them so elegant and timeless. Even though my style has changed but I feel like Chanel classic flap just works with absolutely everything ❤️

I agree price increase and no creativity. The new designs are uninspiring. Chanel lives in the past creations. no progress. The old version bags are stunning, but we are in 2023. what now?

Sometimes I wonder where is the end to these brands' crazy price increases if they are doing it (multiple times) every year. Eventually won't they price out a huge portion of their current customers? I'd always wanted a classic flap but the price, the quality issues, the lack of stock and subpar customer service eventually made me spend my money elsewhere with other brands' products that provided me a good (or maybe better?) experience. I still like chanel's designs but I don't think it is worth the price it is at right now

It still looks good 🩷 but I have been quite careful with it. I am not planning to record a long vlog, maybe a “short” video

After buying them for 10 years, I find them quite boring. I am glad I have a few chanel bags but I am starting to find them juvenile looking. Especially the seasonal.pieces, it's too fashionable.
I actually think they look quite smart, especially when worn on the shoulder with double straps. However it depends on the way they are styled.
I just can’t keep up with these endless price increases, they are definitely too much

The quality of the material does not worth the price ..u basically pay for the brand name
I don’t have the issue with Chanel leather, especially with Caviar. All my bags still look brand new after so many years. As for the high price, I think it would apply to all designer items, including jewellery.

I personally stopped buying because the quality just isnt the same... Last time I was in Chanel store, items already looked worn and used. My bags from 80s held up better than a bag I literally wore a couple of times 🥲
Actually I never had any problem with Chanel’s quality, in a sense that the hardware never tarnished or the bag never broke. I wear some of my bags very often for so many years and they still look brand new (those in caviar leather). I am actually quite happy with the quality. The imperfections of some bags are definitely an issue. I bet they were amazing back in the 80s, they used 24k gold. I wish they kept those standards.
