Could not believe it! I watched the race at my local betting shop, i had a bet on DinDin thought he had a good chance as he had run previously & run a good race for me then. All he had to do was jump the fence, but i had a feeling something was going to go wrong- but that is racing !🏇😂
There's still off track betting spots in the UK?? I ask bc NYC closed Off track betting over 10 years ago, there's a couple leftover in the suburbs and in Connecticut.

Amson fault race was won steady in to the last and win the race. But for some reason wanted to blast the horse and jump the fence like he was being chashed down. Shambles owner and trainer must have given him a right telling off..

Does anyone know the last time in England a race wasn't completed because nobody finished? Your not allowed to remount horses anymore these days so I'm guessing it would have happened
Couldn't tell you the last time but there was a Boxing Day race about 7 years ago where a handful of horses fell etc in the first circuit and the only remaining horse refused thereafter. Fakenham or Wetherby maybe - was definitely one of the "lesser" racecourses.

I think the odds of 4 fallers in a 5 horse race would be HIGHER than 999/1.

I tend to agree with you, though I would contend that Armson could feel the horse pulling up on him and was trying to keep him galloping. If he had not used his whip and sat still the horse may have stopped to a walk. Without the whip, he would have concentrated on keeping the horse balance and doubtless would drop his irons a hole or two.

@@suemaher5282 that's the point. Armson is only an average rider. He was flapping around on easily the best horse over the last three fences. Any jockey holding a license should have won the race but he chucked it away when forty lengths clear. We don't see that sort of thing very often

@@janetjohns3957 I do understand what you are saying but a horse needs the momentum to jump and keep in straight line. Have you ever seen a horse swerve off a true line or anything? You need to keep his mind on the job and that’s all I’m saying. So yes idling is a huge possibility when a horse thinks they have done enough then they are likely to down tools and stop.

I live in the us. I bet on this race not even looking at the horses. I just did a 5 dollar win bet on the favorite and the winner. I'm currently up 7,127 dollars since this race. My.luck has been crazy today. I'm gonna starting unloading on trifecta over here hopefully I can hit the jackpot.

I had £100 win on this at 6/4 I was counting my money coming to the last then bang horse is down it was sickener. Then I look to the other screen and see that No1 won the 2:50 race at Chantilly @ 7/4 same number as what I put for the 2:50 at Newton abbot luckily for me I didn't name the meeting so I cheekily went to the counter and gave them my ticket hoping they might pay me for that. The cashier takes one look at the fast result page sees No1 has won in the 2:50 at Chantilly @ 7/4 no questions ask and goes to the draw and pays me £275 happy days lol

Why is the jockey whipping hell out of the horse when nearly a fence clear approaching the last , something doesn't sit right with me , i watched it Live at the time and still say there is something amiss , typically shady as per usual .
This is why I prefer the flats. Jumps are not exciting at all. Nothing fun seeing a horse win while the rest of the field is either pulling up ,falling down or not finishing.

I bet on favorites lost alot of money this month I changed what I was doing, I look for two 16 horse races and make a ew double last week I had 5 pound ew on a 14 to 1 and 9 to 1 both come in. iv won more bets this month than I have most of the year. Just shows

Maybe it's not humane to use a whip, but you need to have data and know for certain that it hurts the horse. You likely have no data. These horses are very well treated during their racing career. The law allows horses to be slaughtered and sold as food in many countries(but sure, not in the US), so I don't understand why you use the law as a crutch for whip use--"Is it legal to do that to a person or any other animal? Nope." Yes, actually it is. It is legal to kill animals for food(chickens, cows, goats, lamb, pigs, some birds, rabbits, snails, fish, horses in most countries, etc.), which is much worse than using a whip a few times and then spending thousands of dollars, pounds, etc. taking good care of them--giving them the best feed, shelter, training/fitness, etc. It's not legal to whip a person or kill a person--the only reason why it's not legal to do that is that every person pays taxes to fund these massive governments so they can come up with these BS and hypocritical laws for us. They will come up with these laws if it makes financial sense for them and their friends.
