Overall power level increased a lot, and she's just better than the rest of new arrivals, not even close to Chalter vs operators at that time.
Remember that drone stage in is2 floor 4 with a lot of bomb drone? I know I’m talking about a rare specific case but Fiammetta is unbeatable sniper on that map.

Or if you don’t want to do kyostin V big brain strats
And just so you guys know: She is litterally practically immortal as she has pernament camo when her summons are around, she has 2k dps without skill activation and can perma slow, her summons has mudrock level stats, she has 3 multipliers and 4 hits of damage per hit so she gains quadruple the benefits from buffs, her s3 has higher total damage than Chalter,Mlynar and Surtr and costs 50 sp to use wich she can perma slow and kill enemies really well on her downtime. And none of her shots are wasted thanks to the ammo mechanic and she can hit air enemies on s3 and her s3 range is the biggest aoe range in the entire game. She is the most broken operator in the game.
I like that the reason why her attack interval was so long not because she was reloading or something but becase she was shocked with sheer size of an explosion that she did and start phase out for a while. If she locked in she probably be more balans

I'd say, they'd be more likely to create a boss that breaks camo or invis to invalidate her dmg mitigation (or if they wanted to be mean to all physical ops, they could just make a boss where they are fully immune to physical dmg as I'm pretty sure all of Walter's dmg is physical).

They dont. They never have. Bring texalter + mlynar + flagpipe to any stage makes it piss easy. Another broken operator wont change that. Dont care how high damage ceilings get in this game as long as dmg check remains the same. Far as I know HG has done a good job keeping the damage necessary to kill bosses pretty low (except DoS coz fk DoS) as long as you use their mechanic.
one thing I love is that her sniping pose is similar to Jhin, but in W's case, every shot is a 4th shot (also it takes 4 seconds before she readies up for the next shot)

I don't really get this point, as even when Surtr came out and everyone was like the bosses are gonna get buffed and yes, while they were buffed and given mechanics to counter Surtr (like EB's instant death fart clouds that ignored Surtr's immortality), they didn't get so bad that other ops couldn't still be used to fight them, especially event bosses who have been kept pretty simple as long as you understood the gimmicks of the event. They can be a pain, just due to the fact they've generally gotten tankier and tankier over time with the amount of health bars they have, but I'd say thats more down to the game's natural progressions overall to give more challenges to the player rather then that certain characters made the game overall harder.

Theres no defending powercreep in games, and while its common with gacha games given their long lifespan, nothing good comes out of introducing too much powercreep. Theres a lot of things to say about powercreep and i would start rambling if i did.

More like the new big three finally have their new successor since Ch'en alter, Surtr, Mlynar. Now is Logos, Walter, and Degen Now why Logos is here, his S2 is basically S3 Eyja but single target + a lil bit of Angelina s2. Combined with his module that deal necrosis damage, Logos can literally just shred enemy Res faster while also received free dmg bonus from necrosis, S1 also Afk potential better than Eyja, with range expand, unlimited duration, instant kill if enemy HP lower than logos atk , module deal necrosis too then he could just killing enemies left and right before they get to him. I love Eyja but it's time she retired as a caster

I don't care about w I just came here for memory lane 🥺 seeing all these bosses remind me of the past 4 years of my life and how I struggled with strategy and time bit by bit to win each level with a free to play squad I built up day by day month by month. Truly a beautiful game.
Power Creep follows a power curve it seems. Surtr was a massive mistake back in her day, Chalter an even bigger one, but Walter is just business as usual. Really puts the current disgust for Viviana (recently released in EN) into perspective...and kinda makes me sad at the same time.

I don't mind having a powercreep in pve game as long as everyone can get it and have a challenge and without overshadowed the other weapon or character example like HELLDIVER 2 but this is a gacha game where you have to summon a chance to get her and on top of that dev will surely buff an enemy to balance on this character or counter i pretty sure they don't out right ban that character in that specific map cuz will made people who have that character mad. Sure you can look at a guide on CZcams but what if that guide must have specific character on that map you don't have or underlevel especially for new players.

if you're expecting a gacha game that's not gonna release a really OP character eventually for powercreep then you're too young and naive. This is gacha genre and arknights follows the same principle. It's wild how logos and thersea? got shafted in favor of W. She did not need another limited, she did not need to be broken like this, she did not need to bypass her classes weakness. As cool as it is too one shot I think this is am overall bad decision on so many parts. Logos or thersea? should have gotten this treatment. It's so much worse than the chalter situation imo only diff it's not a swimsuit version.

HG going for this way for a while now and it's pretty dissapointed. Now everything are just come down to stronger dps so they can sell fast. Back to the old days you still can feel 4* and 5* having their own speciality function, but now most of em are straight up power creep by having higher dps and put the older operators to the trash bin what a sad story
Sometimes they go for utility sometimes they go for pure DPS, and as far as I see, they haven't raised any difficulty in event stages (main story makes sense because everyone won't reach unless they have a good roster), besides, 6*s are made to make clearing stages faster, they're not powercreeping or planning for raising difficulty, they're not honkai star rail
No Fret, this is a way dev try to help newbie pass the old stage with brute force. With her scouting at the front "chipping" the enemy and with typhoon and chen-alter at the back holding the gate....its perfectly balanced...

Now why Logos is here, his S2 is basically S3 Eyja but single target + a lil bit of Angelina s2. Combined with his module that deal necrosis damage, Logos can literally just shred enemy Res faster while also received free dmg bonus from necrosis, S1 also Afk potential better than Eyja, with range expand, unlimited duration, instant kill if enemy HP lower than logos atk , module deal necrosis too then he could just killing enemies left and right before they get to him. I love Eyja but it's time she retired as a caster

I don't mind having a powercreep in pve game as long as everyone can get it and have a challenge and without overshadowed the other weapon or character example like HELLDIVER 2 but this is a gacha game where you have to summon a chance to get her and on top of that dev will surely buff an enemy to balance on this character or counter i pretty sure they don't out right ban that character in that specific map cuz will made people who have that character mad. Sure you can look at a guide on CZcams but what if that guide must have specific character on that map you don't have or underlevel especially for new players.

Although I know that releasing a character like this is normal in many gacha games. But I'm still somewhat disappointed with Arknights.
I mean it's W and a half decade operator. As long as it doesn't set a precedent it's good, people will ignore this cause of recency bias but she does have her downsides, despite how crazy she is.
if you're expecting a gacha game that's not gonna release a really OP character eventually for powercreep then you're too young and naive. This is gacha genre and arknights follows the same principle. The difference between arknights and other gacha games is how generous arknights are and how their content are not limited to only having only 6 stars to get through content

It's wild how logos and thersea? got shafted in favor of W. She did not need another limited, she did not need to be broken like this, she did not need to bypass her classes weakness. As cool as it is too one shot I think this is am overall bad decision on so many parts. Logos or thersea? should have gotten this treatment. It's so much worse than the chalter situation imo only diff it's not a swimsuit version.
I'm miffed because they gave Vigil summon that's more fragile than wet paper but then decided to give W summon that's sturdier than Ling's combined dragon

Back to the old days you still can feel 4* and 5* having their own speciality function, but now most of em are straight up power creep by having higher dps and put the older operators to the trash bin

Sometimes they go for utility sometimes they go for pure DPS, and as far as I see, they haven't raised any difficulty in event stages (main story makes sense because everyone won't reach unless they have a good roster), besides, 6*s are made to make clearing stages faster, they're not powercreeping or planning for raising difficulty, they're not honkai star rail
No Fret, this is a way dev try to help newbie pass the old stage with brute force. With her scouting at the front "chipping" the enemy and with typhoon and chen-alter at the back holding the gate....its perfectly balanced...
