- Newly released video shows former Sangamon County Deputy Sean Grayson predicting he'll be released from jail and telling deputies he's in jail custody for his own safety.
"That's what the state's attorney agreed. That's what the state's attorney made the charges, so. They said this is for my own safety to put me in custody, so … so here I am," Grayson can be heard telling deputies on the video obtained by NBC 5 Investigates.

This cop is a monster, and in my opinion (and many others too) this meets the criteria for premeditated murder.
This guy is screwed. The only way he will be leaving prison is in a pine box. If he pleas, the only deal he'll get is the _possibility_ of parole (or the DP taken off the table), but a parole board will never sign off on him (if he actually lives to see that first parole hearing).
Not only will this guy be prosecuted to the fullest extent, and found guilty (rightfully so) because of how heinous his actions were, they will be doing it to appease the mobs, and I do hate _that_ aspect.
The court system should never be swayed by mob rule. It sets a horrible precedent that shows these rioters that they will be rewarded for their actions, and they will be given what they want, which encourages them to keep doing it the future. There have been multiple cases where unjust sentences have been handed out just to appease the mob.
Anyway, I apologize for the rant.

Two things I got out of this video:
1.-The cops are being all buddy buddy and joking around with a murderer. The fact that they aren't disgusted with him is concerning.
2.-There needs to be some physical fitness requirements for being a police officer. I can't picture any of those cops being able to catch a suspect on foot...

I have slow motion video start proves that she threw it.
The pot was clearly sitting on the counter while she was crouched on the ground, WHILE he was screaming at her to "drop the pot". It's indisputable. As he was yelling to drop it, it was sitting next to the sink, and she was cowering down with mittens. She may have reached up to grab it and set it on the GROUND, due to confusion at being told to drop the pot while not holding it, but it doesn't matter either way, because it appears Grayson SHOT it when he shot her, to get it to spill on the ground. Either he shot it while on th counter, or she was holding it in front of her head as a pseudo-shield when he shot her, and thus caused it to spill on ground.
It was never " thrown". All you see is the water spilling across the ground around HER, not going through the air.
What is CLEAR, is once again, he was ordering her to drop it while it was on counter and she was crouched on ground. So he was giving her a command that was impossible to follow and pointless, indicating he was saying it just as an excuse to do what he knew he was going to do, and to make his partner think there was cause. This also explains why he moved in FRONT of his partners during the shooting, blocking his partner's view and standing in front of his partner's gun, which is NOT procedure.
At the end of the day, she did NOTHING to warrant ANY aggression from him, let alone what he did actually do. Everything points to him setting it all up with the intent to finish how he did, likely due to prior issues.
She never threw the pot, and it wasn't a lethal force situation anyways because he had distance and a counter between them.
