It's been a busy weekend with new cabinet appointments, cancellation of the Rwanda plan and calls with world leaders.

Michael, from Dover - illegal immigration has never affected his life a single jot.
Nor my friends, colleagues and clients. We've been discussing the election for months and its so far down the list its no even funny. We have one colleague who rants about it daily but he's largely ignored, a simpleton without an original thought in his head, he simply spews out whatever the media feed him.
No, Housing, Policing, NHS, Cost of Living...... these are the only issues we seem to come across. Obviously anyone in Dover will have VERY different experiences. I'm based in a very multicultural town/city in the Midlands.
Rwanda, to me is like owning a car , that breaks down constantly, but you keep repairing it, spending money , when you should accept its never gonna be right and get rid, and write off the money youve wasted.
Why does Jeremy Vine attract the brain dead
The new Jeremy Kyle

Joey Barton simply cant himself.
I am thinking of all those £300,000 (minimum), rabbit hutches, all that concrete, all those acres of tarmac, clogged country roads, towns that are too small to support the development, all the insurance claims from increased flooding because the water has nowhere to go because the infrastructure wasn't allowed for that in the cost analysis. Oh, it was costed. OK, all those increased taxes to pay for ugly sprawl after ugly sprawl paying scant attention to local traditional building; and none to genuine innovation, stretching endlessly into the fields beyond our towns and villages. Welcome to the proposals of a UK Labour government 2024 - 2029. Welcome to ENGLAND
I think its just 7% of UK landmass that is actually in use.
Apparently New sewage and water supplies appear by magic for the 1000s of new built houses
I didn't realise Mr Starmer was a member of the magic circle 🎉
They can change planning regulations to make it happen and they are doing. Duh
Get a grip
Im very impressed so far.actualy having people in key posts who know what they are doing
Me too! A gym slip Mum who left school with more kids than qualifications for deputy leader! A r@c!$t foreign secretary! 😮 to represent us on the world stage! What could possibly go wrong? 😕
@@juliegwilliam8503 imagine judging people not on their record but how they were when they were 18 and under. Take a look in the mirror and see what you were doing when you were 18. Apparently everyone in Gov has to be eton snobs. God forbid we have a cabinet made up of people who actually reflect the public. People like you just parroting the Daily Mail with nothing constructive to say are part of the problem.
It's been a few days - lets see how they actually do rather than vacuous blurge like this.
It is no good saying we want more houses only less that 10% of the UK acreage is suitable for building on if you remove farmland so where are we going to build and grow food the only answer is to stop artificial expanding the population and improve inferstructure
We want more Rivers Of Turd !!!
Too many people causes that😂
Why is it all about tax? Public services need fixing.
Because the Tories scared the public talking about tax during the campaign and it stuck. It was to detract from their own failings.
Because Labour will need to pay to fix public services from tax revenues. That's the only money a government gets.
Because it’s taxes that pay for public services..🙄🙄🤔😎
100% with you it’s not all about taxes public services need fixing and millions of peoples lives need rebuilding. Millions of British citizens have been terrorised by the Tory government. no wonder there’s so much mental health
@@heliotropezzz333 Rich people in this country can well afford to pay more tax. There’s people in this country surviving on foodbanks whilst others are spending thousands on total boll0cks on Bond Street every day - they can forego one more yacht or diamond necklace to add to their collection to help stop kids from going to school hungry!
Build more flats not tower blocks and make them affordable.
THE VANESSA FELTZ SHOW, YOU CAN COMMENT IF SHE LETS YOU EVEN THE GUEST
A breath of fresh air in comparison to the clown show that's been on display since brexit. Finally, some grown-ups.
"Finally, some grown-ups." You know the use of that expression itself indicates an intellect unable to progress much outside of adolescence?
@@archvaldor how clever. 😉
David lammy will prove that..
@@barneyrubble8590 I am absolutely certain David Lammy will do better for the UK than any of the post-brexit-clowns did, yes. 🙂
@@marcusbjernerup7187 he doesn’t even like this country ffs! Ok we will see 🙄
I’m alright Jack
I know better than to give new Prime Ministers and new Governments the benefit of the doubt. If they deviate from the normal pattern and do good things then its a bonus.
A breath of fresh air , that reminds me - how much the river stinks , methinks all these new cities , shouldn’t they be installing sewage and water ways first or have they got a plan to recycle human waste , or maybe use it to build with
Great to have a labour government a time to celebrate
the loony left
@@keirmitchell5560The repugnant right.
@@keirmitchell5560 If you think Starmer's Labour is 'left', you're too far gone.
❤❤❤
@@moomin7461the only response lol well said.
what we need is complete reform of planning regulations first and foremost, I cant believe no one is talking about this. Every house doesnt have to be Net Zero compliant or meet insulation regulations these are the big issues restricting the building of new homes, we need to get back to the 1960s levels of social housing which means more pre-fabs and factory built homes if they want quick results. It often amazes me that the Germans can build a whole house in 3 days yet it takes us British about 9 months because to many people are involved in the process. it can take 3 months just to get the groundworks started in the UK which is ridiculous.
Germans still have very high building standards, so it wouldn't be much to do with that. German gov't gives high subsidies to construction businesses and others in their sector, they have a HUGE steel industry which means all of their steel is much much cheaper. So many different angles to look at this but deregulation isn't the answer, the answer is supply, of which ours has absolutely tanked and we'll need to resolve if we want to build like we did in the 60s.
A resounding NO! 🫣
Fear and dread. He will change the lives of hard working people for the worse. And why did ‘the defender of the NHS’ not get pilloried when he claimed that a key part of his strategy to reduce waiting lists was to use the private sector. However any suggestions under the previous government to do the same were blocked by opposition and unions alike with claims of breaking up the NHS.
What Keir Starmer needs to do is simply bring in Perfection ...then everyone will be happy .
Haven't you realised we live in the UK, someone's always going to be unhappy. 😂🤣👍😎
@@everestyeti And it's always going to be the public. Wake up
More hope than the last shower of **** that's for certain. Not that it would have taken much.
So why not tax wealth..aren’t we all in this together.. 🙄🙄🥴🥴😎
Check the amount of millionaire backers in the labour party and front bench
If you want to increase investment and grow the economy, you need to attract business. Raising tax on business and 'wealth' will only scare it away.
@@emanuel1940 it’s not so much tax business ..but taxing exceptional profits, with windfall profit brackets.. you know a trickle down ideal 🙄🙄🥴🥴😎
@@briankerrison8504 Which is exactly what they said they'd do in their manifesto. Windfall tax on oil and gas companies.
@@emanuel1940 if their profits & nation economy dictate windfall is required..I think this nation qualifies & has done for the last decade+ 🤔🤔🥴😎

Lol prisons. Release 40,000. No point being a law abiding citizens.
@innovationunboxingchannel7170 They shouldn't do the crime. IMO each crime should be the FULL term no let out after 50% of the sentence
I didn't vote for them for the first time in my life (I don't like Starmer or some of the cabinet but giving them the benefit of the doubt). Rachel Reeves is SERIOUSLY impressing me in style and substance, it appears we have ADULTS back in charge, competent adults.
They're certainly hitting the ground running and its GREAT to see, Sensible Tories and Lords have even said labour achieving more in a day than Tories in some years. Whereas the Tories simply BLOCKED everything Labour are building, planning progressing.
Certainly looks good in their "exciting first week", lets judge them in a couple of years or so when reality has bitten. The intent is very positive though and should be commended.
What they say and what will happen are two completely different things, so I wouldn't take what they say too seriously. Looking at the cabinet, the way they think and the qualifications that they have for the job, things are going to get worse. Labour might get things done but it won't be for better for the likes of you and me.
@@user-yb9ww6lv7j They're called OPINIONS and we ALL have them. Some are better than others and those of "@userxyz123445" types are generally computer created.

Hope under Labour better than Despair under the Tories
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good God no.
No. Not with the appointment of Jacqui Smith
Yes he has. Sick of the upper class eroding the lower classes. To build up a society you have to safeguard the most vulnerable and support them to be able to succeed. The conservatives have rotted the working class pushing all the wealth to the upper class. The country has decimated as a result. Yes I support a party that cares about the man on the street without employing the far right or the far left to bully. Looking forward to socio-economics being brought back to the forefront
Starmer and his Cabinet fill me with Despair, the script is already written “ we didn’t know things were so bad until we got into power “ so we can’t do what we promised.
?
Nobody has said that, if anything they've implied they have a grip on most if not all issues.
No! He’s not.
IMAGINE THE ROW BETWEEN FELTZ AND MALONE, THAT WOULD BE EPIC 😅😅😅😅😅
Could any of these people talk without flailing their arms about?
@vanessa please stop the nodding dog impression,,,it's extremely annoying 😂
answer to your question NO
Build houses, you need to build surgery’s and schools.
No, we want the Tories back!!....I miss chaos, U-turns, corruption and long NHS waiting lists
you will get them
Nope
NO! FREE ALEX BELLFIELD AND SAM MELIA 🎉
Cant stand Vanessa .
Great isn’t it creepy Cristian. Wealth taxes inheritance tax capital gains tax windfall taxes. Bloody brilliant. Leave the rich pay for a change instead of taxing working peoples incomes to the hilt. Tax capital in the same way. What a brilliant start by labour. So far so good. I’m filled with hope for the future for the first time in 14 years.
No absolutely terrified for my grandchildren. Especially the girls.
Why because they won't exclude Trans women from women's rights?
Yes. Which is more than this shower ever did.
No filled me with dread for my childrens and grandchildrens futures
Judge them on the next 5 years not on what the tory scaremongers have shoved down the publics throat.
The Lady saysLabour " Will serve you " if they dont know who a woman is then how are they serving you ? Would love to just ask her that question then she can have all the rainbow shines of a new goverment she is wanting for the first days weeks whatever time frame they want all these sunshine rays as said at the begining of the SHOW.
That's a really minor issue compared to most of the issues people are facing. Would a good definition change your life or improve things>
@@heliotropezzz333 not really when your teenager daughter won’t go to the toilet at school because there’s a boy in the next cubicle, or a man walking around naked in the Ladies changing area at the local gym, but hay ho that’s ok because he feels like a woman today
I wish I can feel so enthusiastic as the chairlady,
The P M cannot say what a woman is.
This is the start of the woke.
Is being awake or aware a bad thing?
Rayner lived in social housing? The one she bought and sold for profit of 40k. Lammy foreign secretary. Great times ahead.
You lost. Get over it. 😂
Forgotten Liz Truss already?😂
Imagine watching while tens of billions are looted from our taxes, and then being mad about £1500 that wasn't even a wrongdoing, had already been proven, and the police were pushed into investigating it.
Lets hope the massive fraud of the past few years gets investigated with the enthusiasm of Rayners house sale.
Unbelievable pettiness...have you no memory of ppe scandal, of non dom billionaires, of cronyism, weekly scandals ...and I'm watching from Ireland...what a pathetic example of footballism in your view...wake up
She was acquitted of any wrong doings and, it was 1,500. She was accused of fiddling, a lot less than one of the booze parties at no 10 under Johnson. Track and trace , ppe scandals , peerages for mates.partys , while people couldn't see their loved ones dying during covid, unbelievable.
Nobody has faith in him.
Speak for yourself.
Yes speak for yourself
Yes speak for yourself
YES YES YES. TO HELL WITH THE TORY PARTY FOR GOOD!!!
God you can tell Vanessa's bias coming through in everything she does with what she says and the tone of her voice
really don't think she is the right choice if you want a non-biased mediator, don't get me wrong I believe that Jeremy isn't great in that regard either, but he is 100% better than she is at least
Stramer somehat Churchillian in his delivery. A PM of great gravitas after the clowns in the Tory Circus.
How any middle earner between 25-60k a year would vote for labour is totally beyond me!! Labour will raise taxes, its what they do, its 100% guaranteed
🥱
@@moomin7461 glad you can afford them
Like the Tories, except this time it'll be spent on the country, not just transferred off shore by the tens of billions.
Have you looked at the state of the nation and the national debt, and you STILL think Tories are the party of fiscal responsibility?
Or do you want financial conman Farage running the place?
Middle earner, never voted for the Tories, don't think I ever will. They have decimated any disposable income that I had. I'm open to seeing what this government would do (not my first choice for a left leaning govt).
