Nepal Tibetan lhamo Association in Katmandu was founded in 1976 with the aim to preserve and promote the Tibetan culture in general and particularly in Lhamo,(Tibetan opera). Since the beginning of its establishment it has been engaged in preservation of the 14th century old Lhamo culture, unique Tibetan performing arts. It was purely a grass-root level initiative.
