When Daniel screams "My heart broke" like that, it sends quite the chill down my spine. Always loved these guys, great music and passion is always put into their work.
If my memory is correct, I remember seeing a DVD or something and this songs meaning was said to be written about a friend of theirs that died tragically (I think suicide but I am not %100 certain on that part) and they found out by a phone call, and the song was written immediately after the phone call was over.
So cool to hear this band who is the best example of somebody who can bridge the gap between American metal and the sepultera kind of tribal roots sound. I don't think anybody does it better and they do it with an acoustic guitar just to give an additional less fuck
I mean seriously who whispers in the breakdown on top of the screams? That's a musical form of a troll and I'm bout it bout it. More Christians embodied the light-heartedness of something like that I think they'd have a better track record as opposed to blatantly and knowingly believe in partial truths and use the whole faith scapegoat whenever logic comes in to play. Nobody wants to even imagine the idea that the Christian Bible was literally plagiarized from a few somewhat obscured from their age versions of Sumerian religious texts but no that could never happen
I am also an atheist agnostic whatever who really cares but this music is so fucking powerful and awesome but... Did zao leave the Christian music scene or was that society's finest
