I’m an Arsenal fan and a Man City win is the only outcome. Let’s be realistic, Tottenham are not beating this Man City team. We’re all just hopeful, rather than optimistic. There’s a big difference.
@@peterbrown4270 anything can happen in football Peter. Tottenham went to the Etihad after 3 consecutive defeats and managed to get a draw, so I wouldn’t put anything past them.
Imagine this hypothetical scenario- Its the last game of the 2025/26 season unde Ange and he has Tottenham in a title race. Man City are on 82 points, Arsenal are on 81 points and Spurs are on 80 points. Spurs have Man City at home in their final game knowing that they have to win to have any chance of lifting their first Premiership title, Arsenal are at home to Brentford, a game they usually would win and knowing a win would hand them the title if Spurs beat Manchester City. Spurs would have to beat City and hope Arsenal drop points at home to Brentford, which is unlikely to happen. Do you reckon there would be Spurs fans out there that would want them to lose to City just to 100% make sure Arsenal dont win the title but completely stop their own chamces of winning their first ever Premier League title themselves? I would much prefer to go for it for Spurs to have any chance of winning the Prem on the last day, even if it could mean that Arsenal won the title.

Not entirely sure if it would happen, but if Spurs are seen to be losing deliberately or throwing the game, then won't they be investigated? And now the whole Spurs fanbase is crying out for their team to lose, I feel like it'd be difficult to argue otherwise if they get battered.
