- I know it's been a while since my last upload but that's only because business has been booming. In this video I talk about how roasting is going with me needing to supply 3 different farmers markets this year, but I also wanted to provide you guys some financial numbers for what I'm seeing in the middle of June as something of an update. My previous farmers market video has continued to catch some attention so I thought this might be helpful and give you guys and idea of just what I've been up to.
Also, I'm going to be doing another one of these at the end of the year; if you've got farmers market specific questions, please post them in the comments below and I'll gather them and do a round-up Q&A when that video goes into production.

Such an informative perspective with real-time experience for reference. Coming straight from the market is commitment 👍🏽 amazing cog$ work
Thanks! I just like to be as helpful as I can be for anyone thinking about jumping in. It's a lot of fun and a lot of work, but it's totally a rewarding process.
Great update!!
Hi David
That is so awesome you are doing great at the markets. I put my feelers out there and gave it go. Everyone loves my coffee but I was paying 7 to 10 dollars a pound for green beans. I was selling 4oz bags for $5 would sell 10 to 14 bags a market. With my main gig as an independent insurance adjuster and my leather work it got to be a little too much plus the cost of everything going up. So I am still roasting coffee for me & family and friends. Great video....
Selling coffee at farmers markets won't replace your full time job, no doubt. I have the unique position of also being a professional photographer and take wedding gigs and other jobs on the side to supplement and that makes things work for me here. And certainly, paying up to $10/lb green can make seeing significant profit difficult. Your sales numbers aren't discouraging but I totally understand your position. Maybe next summer you can revisit and take a different approach!
This is a great video! I like all the information😊
Great job
Hey thank you!
Great info here, thanks for sharing your expertise. I feel similarly about cheaper dark roast than expensive. Although I'm still trying all the countries coffees. Cheers
Absolutely. Never stop experimenting. I love to be surprised. I'm glad you found some information helpful!
I❤You for giving me an outlet to help me earn extra $$ since I already live on a fix income. Your videos are Wonderful and have provided me a encouragement with knowledge! I do have some more questions on roasting versus beans. If you ever have time please shoot me a message or another Awesome video. 🙏🏼 ☕️
how are you heating and transporting water?
In my case, I was able to plug in an electric kettle and boil water on site with gallon spring water jugs. I used two airpots so when one was low, I'd switch to the second to serve while brewing again in the first. I never had an airpot with the same coffee in it for more than an hour.
where you buy green coffee ? I am leaving in Cyprus (europe) it is very difficult to reach good green beens ....
