Morning mood on the semicircular wall of Haithabu

Vikings once lived in Haithabu and traded from here. When the fog presses in from Haddebyer Noor in late summer, this landscape gets a very special atmosphere. Skudden - one of the oldest domestic sheep breeds, also known as the "sheep of the Vikings", graze on part of the semicircular wall. When the fog suddenly clears, the houses of the partially reconstructed Viking settlement appear.
