    Hi man. Coming from SA I have to salute you on what you have done so far. I enjoy the videos a lot and it's one of very few 76 series builds that I find well documented on CZcams.
    I have to say as well the only improvement is the volume level between voice and music, but further on well done man!

    it may just be me but the difference in volume between your voice and music is to much have to constantly adjust the volume not sure if there is anything you can do about it while editing have noticed it in a few other videos too

      Suspention is one of the more important things you can do to make your truck preform better

    Wicked, the bro put mine in too at tds. The best addition to my 79 was bp-51

      The OME kit supplied a set of grazeable ones, is that what you mean.

    Does the bp51 kit comes with castor correction bushes? Cheers

    Nice mate. Good review. BP-51’s are an edition I would love to see in my 76. There is a clip or two of it on my channel if you want to take a look. I’m new to the 76 series also, but loving it!

  • @michaelnugara1
    @michaelnugara1 Před 3 lety

    What size tyres have you got mate?
    Just wondering if you can run 35s on a 2" lift
    Thanks for sharing

    Is that Skoda Octavia in the background (for example in 2:52)? Didn't know you can buy it in New Zealand :-D

    • @4WDNewZealand
      @4WDNewZealand  Před 3 lety

      Yep sure can, Our NZ police have just adopted Skoda as their offical vehicles

  • @maxtrain862
    @maxtrain862 Před 3 lety +1

    Do you think you will ever get bigger tyres

    • @4WDNewZealand
      @4WDNewZealand  Před 3 lety +1

      Good question, they are 285/75 R16 so not exactly small. We have always found that to be the ideal size for touring NZ. Being twin locked helps of course.
      They defiantly look smaller with the lift, how ever thats mainly because of their width, And its not the width but the height that gives you traction.
      At this stage well be sticking to them, anything is possible.

    Looks great? Have you got rear track width changed? And if so how did you do it?

    • @4WDNewZealand
      @4WDNewZealand  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks, No we haven't tackled that one yet. Wed rather run with the offset wheel track than run wheel spacers or diffrent offset rims. We however are looking into a few diffrent options that doesn't include replacing the entire rear axle. Will be filming a video on it whenever it happens.

    Just needs some new rims 16/17” on some 35s and she’ll be sick as🤙

    • @4WDNewZealand
      @4WDNewZealand  Před 3 lety +1

      Agree with you on the rims, Who knows I might give 35's a go one day haha.

      @@4WDNewZealand I think the big thing with 35s esp on the 70 series is ability to drop pressures for the terrain off-road get better traction, comfort etc, esp if you have say the ARB twin compressor for ex, def get allot more from your rig. she’s coming along nicely though dude, look forward to seeing some off-road adventures with the BP51s soon 🤘

    what tire size?

  • @aaronlevel7
    @aaronlevel7 Před 3 lety

    Its a bummer you have to get a low volume cert for the BP51’s :(

    • @4WDNewZealand
      @4WDNewZealand  Před 3 lety

      As far as we know you don't. they are not height adjustable

    • @aaronlevel7
      @aaronlevel7 Před 3 lety

      @@4WDNewZealand Unfortunately ARB importers argued the same thing with LVVTA. It’s due to the front shocks being threaded for adjustable preload. Which is basically height adjustment.

    • @4WDNewZealand
      @4WDNewZealand  Před 3 lety +2

      That might be the case for IFS coil over vehicles. However the 70 series is still stuck in the 80's :). They do not have this option, if watch the video note how the front and rear shocks are separate from the spring, and how they mount to the vehicle.
      This makes them non height adjustable.

  • @oldskoolchevy1593
    @oldskoolchevy1593 Před 3 lety

    Mate I love your videos but your “expert” is giving dangerous advice.
    The castor adjusters are not to correct driveshaft angle, they correct the suspension geometry so that the car drives in a straight line. A quick google search will confirm.
    Maybe you want to hit them up.
