*The correct words here should be "chhaDD shaan", as Neela Bhagwat makes clear in her Gwalior Treasures.
As I have tried documenting here: • Encountering Saraiki/P... and as Amarnath points out, • Amarnath | Wrong Punja... the Punjabi is often, in fact invariably, off - and it is not just pronunciation but also the syntax - and does not cohere. Often, it makes no sense and words just seem to be strung together even though they are sung exquisitely. The words I have seen documented by many are:
मियाँ जानेवाले
तानु अल्लादी कसम
फेरिया लेनुवाले |
आंदा जांदा तुस्सी मनले जांदे;
आवो सजन घरे
शरशा लगदा हो
मतवाले
It would be a fascinating exercise to try and find out if there indeed was a Punjabi bandish that got corrupted to the above.
Was Miyan Shori taking existing bandishes and it is a case of oral transmission and Chinese Whispers that is responsible for "misheard" lyrics being sung or is it a case of using a language that had not been mastered, even though the compositions were sung beautifully?

मी स्वतःला खूप मोठा भाग्यवान समजतो की मालिनी ताईंचे गायन बिलासपूर छत्तीसगड येथे अगदी त्यांच्या समोर बसून ऐकायला मिळाले. त्यावेळी मी जेमतेम अठरा वर्षांचा होतो आणि टप्पा गायकी प्रकार मुळीच माहिती नव्हता. तरी देखील या ओ मियां जाने वाले च्या त्यांच्या अप्रतिम गायनाने मला अगदी मंत्रमुग्ध केले होते.

विवेक जी , जय हो , आता बघा की मि किती भाग्यवान , कारण मालिनी ताई राजुरकर म्हणजे एक प्रकारे माझी वहिनी , कारण राजूरकर जी यांचे घर आमच्या घरा हून फक्त एक किलोमीटर , मालिनी ताई चे सासरे माझ्या वडिलांचे मित्र , दर शनिवारी ते आमच्या घरच्या मैफिलीत गायन करायचे. मालिनी ताई चे यजमान मला मोठ्या भावा सारखे , नंतर त्या हैदराबाद गेल्या पण ग्वाल्हेर च्या घरी आल्या की मला बोलवत असत कारण मी त्यांच्या गायना चा प्रशंसक आणि मुख्य म्हणजे त्यांचा डॉक्टर , त्यांच्या आवाजा ची जिम्मेदारी माझ्या कडे होती ! त्या अगदी दिल्ली , मुंबई हून फोन करायच्या " डॉक्टर करकरे साहेब , माझा गळा बसला आहे , उद्या प्रोग्राम आहे , औषधे सांगा !"
