  • Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is one of the most exciting young players in world football. But before he made his Bundesliga debut for Dortmund at just 17, he was already turning out regularly for Birmingham City's first team. Mature beyond his years, Bellingham's quick rise to the top can make it easy to forget just how much work he's put in, and just how young he still is. We talked to his youth coaches, his mum and other important people in his life to find out how Bellingham became the player he is today.

The youngster has captured the heart of every Borussian forward. We can't complain about talent for years, but with him we have signed probably the greatest midfield talent ever. His development is terrific and if the youngster continues to work on himself and stays on the ground, he could become a legend. Plus there's nothing more awesome than a goal from Bellingham and the subsequent Judeeeeeee....... Shouts in Station. I love this guy 😜🖤💛

Bellingham has everything as a midfielder. He could probably play any position on the pitch, at the highest level, tolerably. For his professional development I hope he stays abroad either in Germany, Spain or Italy for a while, before returning to England, if he must. It's be good at languages? I hope he has the knack, so he can understand other team's intents better when playing internationals and inspired others to go where youth is valued in first teams.

Can we just say how much incredible young talent the English youth system is producing right now. I think England right now has more high quality young players than any team in the world right now and only France and Spain comes close to them right now. I always thought England has the best athletes in Europe, but lacked the coaching to make English players technical and tactically intelligent. But it seems things have change in the last 10 years and English players are not technically superior to players in other countries. When Germany a country of 90 million people is poaching English developed players like Musiala and Nmecha because they cannot produce players as good themselves, that shows the good work that is happen in youth development in England. Bayern Munich and Dortmund are buying English players from the second division, which shows how much debt England have right now in quality.

We are have seen with the poor form of Sancho, Werner and Havertz, that maybe the Bundesliga makes players look better than they really are.
