My wife is a new Christian and I've prayed for her every night since we've been married. (I did not tell her this) I prayed for Jesus to give her dreams of him and one night it happened. She told me one morning after about 3 months that she dreamed of Jesus. She said that she was running scared and there was a large group of people who were angry and chasing her. As she was running she said she saw a tall man in white and he looked down towards her. He told her to stand behind him and said that he would keep her safe. He then addressed the people to leave her alone and move on. All of the people chasing her left her alone with Christ.

Came here to say the same thing. Sri Lanka has a completely different history than India even if they may have similar physical features.
Keralite here- yes the distinction is important. She is of Sri-Lankan heritage, although the difference here is that she is ethnically Tamil- which means she traces her roots to Tamil Nadu in India. So she is both Sri-Lankan by nation of origin and culturally and ethnically Tamil.

What many commenters were not addressing was her Britishness. It’s as relevant as her parents’ ethnic background to making her the person she is.
I’ve heard Prime Minister Lee of Singapore speak and while his standard of conversational English is good, his accent is not identifiable as ‘BBC neutral’ whatever you may think that to be.
Why do I say this? Because I was born, bred and have lived in London for 95% of my life. MIA’s English upbringing in her younger years reflects her accent, it’s an upbringing that reflects her time living in Mitcham, south London, which is just a few miles away from where I have always lived. I have more than 50 years lived experience of interacting with many different people in London and MIA speaks with an impeccable Home Counties pronunciation of being a natural from London.
But you’re free to carry on shrugging your shoulders if you don’t understand this.

God uses dreams and visions often in closed countries where access to the gospel isn’t easy. Recommend reading ‘I dared to call him father’ and ‘women who risk’.
Her story is so interesting. Her father was a political activist on Sri Lanka. We were there during the recent ousting of the president. A truly beautiful county which has a fascinating history.

Granted, water baptism doesn’t lead to salvation; I should make that clear. Belief in who Jesus is, and the fact that God raised Him from the grave is the only requirement for salvation, and eternal life. Ephesians 2 says that we’re saved by the grace of God, through our faith in Him.

Ruslan did not state that. What he is stating is that the wine back in the 1st century did contain alcohol, even enough alcohol that one could get drunk if one drank too much. There is a false teaching out there called the "2 wine view" where misguided Christians believe that Jews and Christians in the Bible could drink good wine that contained no alcohol (and all the "good" biblical references to wine are this kind). There is also "bad" wine that contains alcohol and that is the kind that the Bible has warnings/prohibitions about. These T-total challenged Christians are merely foisting their tradition on the scriptures. They are historically, scientifically, and Biblically wrong. He even references this view @10:16 when he mentions "it was just grape juice". He could have stated this better but he is right.
I think he was more saying that the wine they drank was strong enough to get drunk as some believe it was super weak and you’d have to drink a ton in order to get drunk or may not get drunk at all off it. Doesn’t mean it was ok to drink enough to get drunk though
