A few information to share:
1. Teleprompter used in the performance was written in Japanese. This means, very likely Zhou Shen can read Japanese.
2. Someon in Station B has done an autotuning testing. Both singers' vocal had not been autotuned.
3. After the performance, Zhou Shen mentioned that there will have further collaboration/s with Maria (plus one more artist)
4. Maria had been publicly requesting to have collaboration with Zhou Shen on more than one occasions. Here she has it.
5. Others vocal experts also commented that Maria has a thick/rich high pitch. That is very good.
6. This performance already has more than 2.5 million views so far in Station B alone. It could be one of the all time hits.
Zhou Shen often gives priority to the song and the partner. So he is being the supportive role and singing the harmony to Maria.
Zhou Shen is unlikely tired though he has been travelling to 5 or 6 locations by planes in the past week, taking part in lived concerts and stage performances, some of them with other great artists.
I think he's not tired yet as well, since after this performance he went on to talk on stage and sang another song. 😂😂
But his choices this time makes me feel like he's aiming for a more rustic Japanese feel, which would suit the song. This was a really intriguing first!
@@mattakubodimasen10 Agree. Coach Rozette may not be familar with Zhou Shen;s approach on duet performance. He uses falsetto just because he wants to blend better with Maria's vocal and be more on the supportive role. As usual, he was serving the song and the overall performance, not for himself.

Teachers really wonderful, what she comment is mostly accurate. Coz watching behind the screen for Zhou seng, not this song, other song for duet performance. Zhou seng always find the harmony during duet and try making both singers to be comfortable when singing. What teacher said at the beginning Zhou seng changing he falsetto and interpretion.

但實話實說，周深要唱不是母語的歌詞與唱腔的時候其實已經可以先從70分開始打起。
美依的歌聲，說實在的，(不管是動漫宅、還是日歌狂其實我很喜歡那個抑揚頓挫)

You are right, whenever he makes duet , he’ll do anything just to make the song perfect and the partner more comfortable . Understood you must be busy, but if you have time , can ask your friend or your teammate to find more duet he’s done, you’ll find that. And just because he’s capable, and he’s willing to adapt to the partners, almost all the duet was perfectly done, some are even better than original ( i mean, original songs are deeply embedded into our minds, most of the time, we tend to feel original is better, but from zhoushen, he always shines over the original)

Firstly I agree with R's observation that he shows some fatigue. I've been noting the same throughout the past months. Yes, Shen Shen has been even busier in his multiply scheduled musical commitments this first half of 2023. He flew back & forth from city to city, released a multitude of OSTs and songs, two very successful outdoor musical stage shows with mainly approx 30,000+ impromptu attendees (not scheduled concerts).
A duet stage performance with a renowned Chinese Baritone singer Liau C. Y.. Zhou Shen was also was especially appointed as the lead singer in the honorary National Centre for the Performing Arts (National Opera House) in Beijing, by a renowned music composer Shu N. to sing his glorious & beautiful composition serenading the spirit of the Republic of China .

This is a celebration show for the 14th anniversary of the video website Bilibili. The program was recorded on 20230626. Zhou Shen and Maria probably learned the song they performed a few days ago, and according to the host's introduction, they met for the first time on the day of the recording. So they may have only rehearsed this song once or twice. The song is a Japanese song, and Japanese is not Zhou Shen's native language, which could be the reason why his pronunciation sounds different from usual.

Perhaps Rosette does not realize that Zhoushen is singing in Japanese, and many Japanese songs are performed like this, especially songs written for female vocalist

The "push-pull" thing can be found among a lot of Japanese female singers. Also the bonus clip of each Rozette's demonstration always gives me goosebumps
他會用這種演唱方式是配合日本人的特有發聲技巧⋯⋯
以周深的音域之廣 他配合別人的確是比較適合 而且深深本人謙遜有禮 也不在乎誰是主唱 我只是覺得製作團隊應該有系統的推薦老師去點評的歌曲 比如依照出道時間先後 不要時間跳來跳去 這樣老師可能會覺得歌手發揮不穩定 而不是一直在持續進步中 不管如何 我覺得這老師很專業 就是被噴後 點評變得相對保守了
日文始終不是主語言，另外他合唱時盡量都是收斂自己，盡力去配合對方，達到效果，加上好似深深是趕去演出，同場配合採排應該都是好趕時間，時間上一定不足夠！而且配合小美

周深作为一个二次元大宅唱日语应该没啥难度，很明显这次配合小美的方式是周深在玩自我挑战，用了自己平时不用的key在配合，这也符合他探索的个性，很明显老师也能感觉到，不用太在意，反而我觉得这样很好玩很可爱，也希望这俩b站站宠可以多合作几次。
这首歌曲原本是一个少女组合的经典歌曲，可能歌曲本身限制了深深的发挥。另外老师指出的小美唱法的推拉问题，也是很多日本年轻歌手的问题，不知道是否是流行😂
I like Mei Yiliya's music, she is a very powerful vocalist too. She wanted to collaborate with Zhou Shen, she saw his performance on stage of her song. In the interview with Mei Yiliya, she loved Zhou Shen's voice & wanted to make music with him.

谢谢老师让我明白了为什么深深的声音听起来那么干净动听，更像是乐器甚至AI，因为他的声音没有推拉，甚至少有换气声。老师不懂中文是个遗憾，要知道深深的中文咬字真的比大多数歌手强太多了。当然这一点从深深的多语言天赋也可见一斑。😂

老師真的好強。聽得出用母語跟不是自己的母語之間的發聲差異。而周深更強，有點像是掌握土生土長的當地人語氣/發音。
個人感覺周大師真的把‘音’完完全全放在手心上玩弄。想讓‘音’往東就往東，想讓‘音’呈現圓形，那麼就是圓形了。太強了，真的是大師/匠師的感覺，實際年齡30幾歲，但就像是研究了80年的那種大師/匠師人物。

I too think he is perhaps working too much. He must take care of himself and not tire himself out too much. His body is his instrument, he cannot replace it.

Singing in Japanese, I understand why Zhou Shen had pitching issue in the beginning. This song is not Zhou Shen style, he normally starts with whispering. I guess he wants to leave the focus on 美依礼芽, including choosing the key.
