Anthony, so sorry for your loss.
I find it interesting that no hot-shot chefs from the big casino restaurants were nominated for the James Beard awards. Love the show all the way from Maryland! Keep up the great work, gentlemen!
Boy, Anthony has a mind that is above all else. Great show again boys!
Great content guys. Educational and entertaining. 15K 🎉 Well deserved.
Went to see Mike Hammer at Four Queens with my wife and mother in law. Had a coupon and paid around $30 dollars. Great show. My wife was pulled up on stage for the big finale.
Hey guys, did you know that both mgm and caesars properties offer military and veterans ( with I D card ) elevated status, therefore getting free parking. Just FYI
Anthony sorry for your loss. Farewell to the Trop! Question- where do all these slots go to next from the Trop! Glad you guys got to go! Congrats on 15k subscribers. Any way you can get Andrew back on the show again?
Thank. you for sharing on your friend Bart and a bit of your family. Games and sitting around the kitchen table, makes very real.
So true. That was a great story to hear about. I love it when these guys get personal.
Long time fan, first time commenting. JACKPOT!
I look forward to your posts every week. Thanks for all the work that you put into them.
Jackpot. I quit going to downtown grand a while back. Very difficult to get comps there, 4 queens much better. Let your audience know, the great host at downtown grand now works at Silverton.
Glad to hear this-I met Andrew at DG while he was there-very gracious man.
So sorry for your loss, Anthony. Thanks to both of you for the great videos-looking forward to you two doing a show with Vegas Matt and EJ.
Jackpot! Thanks guys. Another interesting and informative show.
Reach out to the Plaza about picking up the weekly blackjack tournament! I bet they would do it
as out of towner, i guess my e.v. is never gonna catch up with the $25 tournaments, but I had fun. Til next time, will have to see what's going on...
Thanks Martin! Always great to see you when you’re in Las Vegas
I was just their to see Tyler Fischer at Wise Guys in the Town Square for $25. It was awesome!
Great show gentleman! ❤
Regular visitor here. Been reading the LV Advisor for a long time (used to get the paper copied delivered when I lived in Colorado back in the 80s?? Anyway, listening to your story about playing blackjack at 21 years old reminded me of my adventure in 1962 when me and some friends were trying to find work in LV. We were staying at the Mint hotel behind the Horseshoe (friend knew manager at Horseshoe (managers name was Dave Rice)) and decided to go see Sonny Liston train at the Thunderbird. He was awesome to watch. I had obtained somewhere a pamphlet on blackjack card counting and had practiced a little (not nearly enough, it turned out), so I decided to try my luck. The point is that I was 19 years old and had a fake id, but I was not asked to show it at all. Mob Las Vegas was something. Didn’t find work and moved on. Enjoying your CZcams shows.
Great story about you and Bart RIP bart ❤😢
Sorry for the loss of your friend. Sux the DG isn't keeping the tourneys...hope they dont completely give up the value plays!🤞🏻 Before u (AC), Shackleford & Bourie got me playing VP & table games....i played slots. My first table game play was at the Tropicana, Blackjack...first hand was a Blackjack!! Im gonna miss the Trop. Thnx guys!👍
My grandfather was a hell of a handicapper. He told me that gambling is the toughest way to make an easy livin.
No bloopers this week??? Always keeps me watching right to the end. It cracks me up every time someone sees Anthony and asks where Andrew is as if you guys are together 24/7 😂
I’m on NC State and have been. Sports betting isn’t the same grind as playing table games.
Thanks for the weekly video!!
Congratulations on 15K subscribers.
Must watch always
Thanks fellas!
Good show. Thanks guys.
Thanks, guys. Hope you’ll mention the half-price booth when you review shows next week. We always choose one show from the booth when we visit.
Great show this week!
Jackpot. Love the content
Another great show!
Hi A&A - always sad to see a casino go - Trop had a lot of history there, too bad Bally's didn't recognize very well. Sending condolences to Anthony for your loss -sounds like he was a great guy. Downtown Grand is going to change with the new CEO - it was becoming a place to experience some "old school Vegas." Thanks for another great vlog. Cheers 😎🍻
cheers guys , flying in from thailand , as a uk citizen, its been a few years since i got that great coupon book , i arrive monday afternoon, i will collect personally on september..will let you know the day..
Well, crap. I was hoping to get to the Downtown Grand's Thursday blackjack tournament. I tried twice last year but the parties I was with weren't interested. I finally have a trip booked where I'll be there alone on a Thursday and it's over just a couple weeks before i get there.
Thanks for the great show as usual, Anthony and Andrew!
Hi Anthony,
Great to meet you at the Downtown Grand last week. My friend is a big fan of your channel, and of course you’re right, I was playing the wrong game though that Royal was still nice to hit. A little before that Royal came in I’d hit 4 Aces!
Thank you for recommending Milkfish. The next time I visit LV I will definitely check it out.
Great show as always. Why did Andrew Ecomomon leave DG?
Jackpot! My favorite town in Nevada.
See you next week at the DTG for the Tourney and maybe at the office on Tues 9th Apr. Steve Barraclough and Paul Markwick out once more from the UK.
Enjoyed Downtown Grand, but expect major downgrading of play there now. 5.00 caps will be gone soon. Which is fine, most of the crew were unfriendly or obnoxious. Never felt they wanted 5.00 people there. Never saw the second table open. There’s always Jerry’s Nugget.
Jackpot
When will the cost of Vegas prevent the middle class from visiting?
Jackpot!
Royal.
No more Thursday's mini blackjack tournaments at the Downtown Grand, tell me it is not so. Always a stop when we came to town. Talked to Anthony several times, but our trips were on Thursdays that Andrew wasn't there. Now, how am I going to meet Andrew...maybe at a comedy club?
Sad to see the VP tournaments go and now the blackjack minis… 😢 welp guess I will have time make a special trip to catch one of these bigger tournaments!🍀
This comment is for the almighty algorithm.
Where is Andrew from Downtown Grand going? Did Fontainebleau poach him like they did with Wynn employees 😂. His promotions are what brought me and my wife to the Downtown Grand.
got my $5.00 Tropicana chip as keepsake. should be interesting when that entire stadium is built and all the construction coming up to tear down Tropicana and build a new stadium. Strip is going to be packed, not mention formula 1 setup again. Ughh. Still my favorite town in the world
Hello
Where did Andrew go now that he’s left the Grand?
I was really impressed with him when he was on the episode here a while back.
I'm wondering the same thing. Where did Andrew Economon go?
I dug the $2 hotdog and beer, $5 craps, $5 bj that paid 3:2... And he seemed to always be up to something fun. Hopefully he went to another casino.
Comment
Yes, I think that the $5 craps minimum at Downtown Grand is also not long for this world. They already have a sign stating "$10 minimum at busy times". Which will be all the time soon. Then there is no reason to walk down there from Fremont Street.
Well, that sucks.
Anthony… it’s UCONN!
Coming to Vegas in a couple weeks. Disappointing I won't get to see you at the downtown grand.
Thinking about playing the Downtown Grand BJ tournament on the 13th. I know it will be a bigger amount of people, but any idea how long a typical BJ tournament lasts? Obviously hoping I would keep advancing, but have no idea the time requirement. Thanks!
I'm not sure I've got this right. Is the LVA coupon book on line or is it a physical book? I am a member but can't seem to access the online and if there is a physical book I can't see where to buy it. Please advise.
I paid like $160 apiece to see the MJ One Cirque de Soleil with my mom. It was worth it, but that’s like double what I paid only two years ago.
Baccarat is my job
It’s a grind.
Algo
If I'm coming to vegas April 22 can I come to your office to purchase a coupon book or do i need to purchase it online first? Thanks
Can do either.
Andrew from DT Grand, is that the fella you had on the show once or twice? Where did he go? It looked like he was doing good things there
when you said they change the odds a couple of weeks ago I knew you friend left 😢
The mini blackjack tourneys were pretty fun. I quit playing them when I placed 3rd for $100 and they made me fill out a W2G for a $100 win (puzzling). I only played 2 with no rebuys so overall I won $50. I'm not complaining. They were fun but issuing a W2G for a $100 win is a bullshit move.
Maybe asking out of school but Why did Andrew leave the DG ? Where did he end up? A lot of us want to know. One last question... Will he be doing great promos in his new gig?
We don't have all the details about his leaving. I'm sure wherever he lands, there'll be similar good things happening.
@@anthonycurtis4075 Hope you keep us non locals up to date on his whereabouts.
Co see na
Not Co chee na
Yep, you're right. Learned something. Thank you.
speaking of quality shows for value... what is going on with the shows from the trop? murray the magician and laugh factory ect.
Great show guys, every visit my husband and i saw at least one show, pre ordered out tickets and enjoyed our show. one visit we took a chance to see o, went to the box office when it opened and asked if they had any tickets for the nights performance. after the woman said it was always sold out, she checked and said there were a couple of single seats still available. we got the first and fourth seat in the row and she told us to come early and sit in seats 3 and 4 until the people who had seats 2 and 3 arrived. told us 9 out of ten times people will tell us to stay put and just move one seat over. thats exactly what happened. got to enjoy the show sitting next to my honey. dont know if it works all the time, but for us it did
Some risk, but a good play. There's also the cancelation line where you might be able to get tickets right before showtime.
$11.00 for a beer! Good riddance
