Great info! I'm BRAND NEW to Mixed Media & trying to so learn all differences of all the different pastes, gels, etc, what they're all needed for! With extremely limited finances, I can't dont want to buy essentially duplicate products because companies used different names for them. I can't afford all the amazing colors, stencils & such yet so your tips on how to get texture without touching a stencil or tool of any kind were AMAZING! I'm going to stop WATCHING IT ALL & go rip off the plastic coatings, gather some random stuff from the junk drawer and start mixing, spreading & composing to create my first canvas panel NOW!

Picked some pretty cool tips from this idea - thank you! Would any kind of stencil actually work? I love floral motif stencils used for cake decorations but don’t have any. Wondering if it’s worth buying them to try it out with modelling paste?
