Let me just say this. I understand that no harm was meant by this. However everyday black women get put down for having their hair natural or in braids. So when a white person does it. Her hair is not meant for that nor is it a trend 3:44 You thought it was just something you saw get done on social media and tried to replicate it without knowing the actual history behind box braids for black people. There are braids such as French braids that are meant for your hair. Box braids do not work well with hair that is not afro. I understand you may not have known the history of it but before posting anything please take into consideration whom you may hurt. I have read your apology but braids that you did for your children on holidays are different. You can do pigtails but box braids are different for the fact they are meant to stay for a long period of time and protective styles for afros. I don't mind people getting their hair done such as box braids but it is an annoyance to us, black people, when we see things as important as our culture just become a trend for everyone to try without fully understanding the creation of it all.
