How long did it take to travel from Zurich to Lugano before the base tunnel opened?

Why were there four chimes at the beginning if it was 3 o'clock? Surely the fabled Swiss clock couldn't be wrong could it?!

The four chimes mean its the top of the hour, it would normally be followed by 3 lower pitched chimes due to it being 3 o`clock.

Шефрй Аксмит Yeah, four ding dongs indicate the beginning of the hour, followed by dongs striking the number of the hour.

Is this after the opening of the Basistunnel?

Hi, this is before it opened. Most of this video was shot on the old route that the new tunnel bypasses. It's great for reducing travel time but it sure was a beautiful railway.
