    As a Minnesotan American I cannot believe you're talking about Tim Walz---worlds colliding for me! Very few MN high schools actually follow through and stock period products in mens rooms, but they are free in all women's and gender neutral, as well as nurses offices. It's truly insane that we are shaming menstruation in 2024.

      Same here! It feels extra local (even though it’s national news in the US) because a month ago almost no one but Minnesotans knew about this guy, so it’s kind of surreal hearing about Gov. Walz in this global sense.

    We live in the Netherlands, my husband is black. We happened to be travelling to the UK on the weekend the riots started, and we were just hanging out on the city center of Liverpool when we saw the rioters passed by. We were so confused as of what was happening. Immediately there were two women coming to us to tell us to take care and make sure we were ok. It was very scary, I think it was the first time I was viscerally and genuinely scared about my daughters race. With that said, I loved how quickly the counter-protests were able to shut it off. Thank you to all that made that happen.

    I don't know if you've seen this but there are now t-shirts featuring "Tampon Tim" in the front, and "Stopping the red wave" on the back"! It's actually quite clever

    American here. My brain (despite being post hysterectomy) hears "Tampon Tim" and immediately thinks, "Tim have tampons!? Yay! We live Tampons! Where is Tim?" 😂
    If you want to insult people, do it correctly. This is an example of insulting very incorrectly. 😂

    I remember you saying back when you were trying to get pregnant that your thyroid was playing up. As a person who suffers with an underactive thyroid please get a blood test. For me when mine plays up its my periods that start playing up first! My thyroid played up every 3 months and id bleed every week for a few days for weeks!

    The best thing you can do for thrush is a very good quality probiotic. I like the Elixa probiotics which you can order online.
    It’s caused by an overgrowth of yeast which probiotics are amazing for knocking out as it increases the competing good bacteria!
    I’m so so sorry to hear about your Bugaboo pram 😓 That really sucks!

  • @saragomez-maier2860
    @saragomez-maier2860 Před 21 dnem +1

    Hey Bree, I hope you’re doing well. A strong probiotic can work wonders for maintaining yeast overgrowth and not only bring things back into balance, but support a healthy microbiome in the gut and vagina. Also, probiotic rinses or just a pH balanced wash made for sensitive areas. Cora makes a great one. I hope you’re able to resolve and keep this at bay - thinking of you!

    Scotland has been providing free period products to the public for a few years now. It’s a Scottish Government policy and happens across the country. One of the best things about it is how much it’s become ‘normal’ to see and to talk about period products. They’re openly offered, advertised and discussed. Some older people are still a bit funny about it but it’s become much more ‘ordinary’ - as it should be!!

    It’s very interesting and helpful to hear your perspective on the situation of the riots and such because all I ever hear as an American surrounded by right wingers is that its terrible over there because of all the immigrants. Smh 🧐 And yeah the tampon thing my dad was going on about and I think they more have a problem with them being in the boys bathroom, so transphobia to call it what it is.

    could your period be a bit all over the place because you've stopped breast feeding in the last couple months so your hormones are still regulating themselves?

    @amagr1990 Před 21 dnem +2

    Thank you for your content!! OMG, how much I want to say about all of these topics!! 🤭 1st of all, thank you for trying to normalize periods!! I don't know how is it possible that in 2024 people in developed countries or with a good education in developing countries still shame periods, like every grown up woman in the world menstruates, and it's just blood, it's not something contagious or that brings bad luck or anything!! And the worst part of it all, is that the problem is not the blood, cause people have no problem watching blood in other parts of the body, people are ok with blood shown in movies, in the news or an accident in the streets, but God forbid a spot of blood on a woman's pants!! It infuriates me, how hypocrite people can be on the topic!!
    2nd, thank you for speaking out for minorities and thank you for being there for them. I know not all British are like the rioters (not sure if this is an actual word, I mean people in the riots), I know many kind and well educated British that will never raise there voice against anyone, and from all the content you've made throughout the years I know you are a good person, thank you!!
    Lastly, your period going crazy, same happened to me a few months after stopping breastfeeding, I've done some research and is somehow common. Hope it goes away soon!! I use the implant as a birth control and the doctor send me 3 months of pills to control the bleeding, I bleed for 3 weeks straight and after a week of pills it stopped!!
    End of my comment, sorry this took so long, but I really wanted to comment all my thoughts 🧡🧡🧡

    Genuinely think the thrush has something to do with the recent warm humid weather.
    I've recently had to get treatment for a similar fungal skin issue further back on my bottom and now I've got flippin athletes foot.
    Feel like we've all been hot and sweaty enough lately for fungal issues to thrive.
    Hope it settles for you soon!

    It's unfortunate but expected that those men think the response to abhorrent male violence is...more male violence? They don't care to work on the issue (misogyny) perpetuated among themselves and that should tell you everything. The amount of men who actually in real life stand up for women are few and far between, it's literally always been women in public that have protected me in sketchy dangerous situations and told creeps off but dudes always front about being some sort of protectors or saviors.

    We are quite close to Southport and a few days after the initial incident my 5 year old was due at dance camp (not in Southport or the same dance group). It was a scary time but to be honest the riots caused us much more worry, they were country wide and left us having to change plans and avoid going out with the children.
