I recently thought to try layering Crystal Noir over Adam Levine worn as a base layer, as they both have Sandalwood. I think it blended quite well!

yeah I think that Guerlain tend to be powerhouse perfumes if you get the classics, so the dupes never last as long!
💯 the notes on your edt sample seem to match the EDP formulation. I have always thought that. And Fragrantica have also mixed up the notes on each formulation.
Fun fact: the lids on the 50 ml and 90ml are the same so that’s why they look so huge and silly on the 50ml

The same thing happened with my perfume bottle from nivea.and l thought the person that brought me the perfume from Germany had opened it😅
I bet that's why they've changed the shape of rhe bottles!
It’s so annoying when the perfume is not like the sample; I loved my sample of serge Lutens, Feminite du bois but the large bottle was nowhere near as good, less vanilla and a touch masculine.
It’s so rubbish that companies keep reformulating really nice scents!
I have the Versace Crystal noir edt. It is my favorite fragrance. I actually first smelled it on a guy and ask him what he was wearing more than once. I got a mini to try at first and my BFF got me the full size for my birthday last year. Haven't been able to smell the edp as yet. I want to try and get a sample of it. The edt is more available
Btw mine was manufactured in 2021. The mini I got about 2 years before. And they both smell alike. I love that soapy smell it gives me
@@ToniaAlex13 I don't know what the date on my EDT sample is, but it definitely smells more like the 2022 EDP than the 2021 EDT.... I feel like the bottle of EDT that I have smells like the original notes from the EDP. There is a coconut water vibe to it. The EDP I have honestly has more of a soapy fig vibe! I dunno. Versace have really made it impossible to work out what they've done and I'm pretty sure the EDP has been discontinued anyway. I'm sad about that because I was so in love when I wore it again a few weeks back. I actually might have to track down a back up from a reputable seller, but it will cost me an arm and a leg!
I was so disappointed when I smelt crystal noir. Both the EDP and EDT are listed as the top "smells like" on fragrantica for Jo Malone's dark amber and ginger lily, which is one of my favs however it is quite pricey and it doesn't last very long, so I was so excited to smell CN. To me they share absolutely no similarities at all. CN is really soapy, like you said, and dark amber is lovely and spicy and cosy. So I've concluded that they must have really changed the formula of CN and taken away all the spice (cardamom & ginger). Honestly I was shocked at how it would be considered a match until I started looking into it! Frustrating that Versace haven't updated their info.
Yeah it honestly feels like they changed the notes from the spicy coconut to the ones in the edt carded sample I have - those make way more sense for the way both smell, but they just won’t admit it! Maybe that carded sample was the give away for what the current scent actually is. I like both Crystal Noir edp and edt but the scent is not at all what I was expecting!
@@skinscentsforfusspots yes! I think you are spot on there, it's a nice perfume but I was just so shocked because I had a clear picture in my head of what I thought it was going to be haha. My search for a similar dark amber perfume continues!
