This songs already powerful and in a situation like dat i would be ballin man sorry to hear fr i felt that through a screen hope you and your family doing good💯
michael_mge thank you. It’s been over 20 years since he left and this song has been a huge part of my healing. He was a huge Metallica fan and that was something we shared.
This is very Amazing i think keep you Head up!
@@mikefm7776 like dat😅okayy💨
Sending my condolences to you, family, and friends!
My parents told me when I was a baby they would play this song for me to fall asleep to and I still fall asleep to it till this day, metallica is my number 1 favorite band and it is on the top of my bucket list to see them live
I'm a 78 year old white dude from the deep south and Tupac was one of my favorites. The man wrote about his life
respect
That guitar solo is almost life changing. Can’t stop listening to it
The greatest and most life changing by a mile is David Gilmours piece in comfortably numb
Haha. My brother had this as his wedding song. In Bucharest, Romania. We are Scottish and his wife is Romanian. So we were wearing kilts dancing to Metallica whilst these Romanians didn't have a clue what was going on. The women were utterly smoking though. Not sure if we'll put the kilts on for the dog's funeral but the song will get played for sure. Good reaction man.
Hahahahahahaha
Paul Murray badass
One of my favorite songs ever! 🔥
James on the solo. Damnit I love this song so much.
I’m glad someone made comment, Thankyou. Too many times solos are done to showcase ability, but can lack connection with the intent. For me, this is one of the most overlooked deeply emotional solo’s I’ve ever heard. When I first saw this video, a loooong time ago, his connection is crystal clear by his expressions and contact/bending of the chords. For me a true true understated emotionally overbrimmimg solo.
All the best

Guys, this is an intimate love song. It's telling your partner that I trust you. I never open myself to get hurt, until I found you. No matter what, no matter the games others play with love, no matter what others say, feel, or do, this relationship, this life, is ours and we'll live it our way regardless of anything or anyone else.
They really crafted this song beautifully.
I listen to Metallica for over 30 years and never had enough!
This is one best songs ever made... It is just simply beautiful. No matter who you are or what do you like. If this doesn't touch you you are not human.
I'm not a fan of Metallica, but very time I listen to this song it gives me goose bumps.
@Music Fan276 they were at one time, but when Cliff Burton died they were kind of lost. But after the black album, and yes this song is from that album and there were a few good songs from that album, they completely lost their way.
@Music Fan276 Cliff Burton wrote half of the material for...and justice. The black album came after that, and leaned toward more pop/radio friendly songs, even using bob rock as producer, which they mocked for producing Motley Crue.
I order you to convert now!
@Music Fan276 I Know! I have a big respect for Hetfield specially.
@@romeorogers9314 🤘😂🤘
One of the greatest albums to me. It takes me back to a simpler better more slower paced time. Thank you for reacting to this track.
I'm glad you liked it Metallica is amazing. This was the song me and my wife chose for our first dance at our wedding.
Tears of Joy and sadness, that was exactly the part where i got overwhelmed too. killer reaction
This is some powerful ART. We interpret it differently, personally. They’re just brilliant. Love your reactions ❤️
James Hetfield has had a lot of tragedy in his life-Metallica is kind of depressing at times-kind of like Pink Floyd is--great music comes from a deep place though--so it goes
"A different vibe"... oh, you keep digging at their catalog you'll discover something. Metallica's pretty unique in that they'll just run whatever vibe they think fits the message, and then nail it.
Yes, blackened.
Thanks for playing this one. Awesome song.
Nice reaction. I still love this song after all these years. Im subbing . My prayers go out to James Hetfield wishing him a speedy recovery in his quest for sobriety.
Alot of their songs have a beautiful haunting flow. ❣️
metal is a thug’s game played by gentlemen and RnB is a gentleman’s game played by thugs...
Can you list some of them?
James at the end: "Like that?" ... Yes James, that'll do!
He actualy wrote this while he was on the phone to his then g.f... 💗
I did not know that😬
@@skaterjoe1669 🙂
Every time I hear this song, I keep waiting for them to go off in Full METALLICA mode, but they never get there.
True. Good music never die
I still can't get over that my man looks exactly like Katt williams
Hi. Just to stay from the start. This is going to be played at my funeral❤
u have to react to fade to black
Tony Spence, he did.
Alice in Chains..best band and volcalists ever. It was hard to tell when one began and the other ended. They made perfect harmony togetger. 🦋🥀🖤
@@synthiadawndre2877 Not the best, but they have some good songs.
Thank you guys for watching this video and hearing how amazing Metal can be, when it's done right.
Love this channel.
Glad to see so many new Metal Militia members I've been a fan for going on 20 years now. 👌
The Black album is worth listening to the whole thing. Enter Sandman and Where ever I may roam are both on there.
Seek and destroy
Metallica still owns the "MetalCrown" in 2019. Period!
This was the first dance song at my wedding!
Such a beautiful song. I've always said the best music has messages that speak straight to the heart. "Never open myself this way, life is ours we live it our way, all these words I don't just say, And nothing else matters."
One of my favorite songs ever!
Thanks for the honest reaction
You guys are so real. Help bring this world together.
Have you listened to the sound of silence by disturbed?
You nailed it! Its one of those songs that effects you differently depending on your mood. I can rock the shit out of this song or sit back in tears! Or both! lol
Love Metallica and saw them live...about time you guys listened to my genre
I saw some dual interview, Elton John and Metallica (I forget why they were working together). This song was written by James Hetfield, and when Elton happened to mention this song and go out of his way to say how beautiful he thought it was, you could tell that James was thisclose to tearing up; it REALLY meant a lot to him.
Elton was revering to a cover he did of this song for the 40 year anniversary :)
They could be metal with a heart.Good way to explain them.” So close no matter how far.”
You two are so sweet. I get a kick out of your facial expressions.
Ya understood this song and music itself my friend! Greetings and the best wishes from Hamburg
Loved your reaction! James Hetfield wrote this originally for his girlfriend at the time. When Metallica’s signature album (aka the black album) dropped, a lot of fans were angry because it sound so different from their old stuff. This song kind of became Metallica saying, we’re staying true to who we are. This is who we are right now, and nothing else matters.
",,, at your dog's funeral."
🤣
You two crack me up.
Joe Haynie Ironically, it’s played at a lot of weddings.
@@continentalaquatics2725 It's a love song though. James wrote it for his girlfriend.
zemvk Yes. When I was a kid and I heard him say “we” in the verses and choruses, I thought he was talking about the band for some reason.
I didn't listen to Metallica more than pop airplay as a kid, so I didn't know that.
Lol
I LOVE YOUR REACTION!
Hetfield wrote this pretty quickly after/ during a phone call with his then Gf; as an older white hippie chick who grew up with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc, I've become addicted to watching young black men react to my favorite music! Been waiting for sometime to react to this very song! Going to subscribe & check your videos to see if you've discovered Grunge music yet!!
Lori Underwood Same here (except I’m a white dude who grew up with Metallica, LL Cool J, Megadeth, Run-DMC and U2 😂).
I enjoy watching channels that feature black people reacting to the music I grew up with. Music sucks nowadays, so it’s a good time to reflect. I don’t really like white reaction channels because listening to black folks reacting to the music I grew up with gives me a fresh perspective on the music. No offense to white reaction channels, but I’ve already reacted to these Metallica songs 25+ years ago with my white and Hispanic friends. It’s time for a fresh take (in my opinion).
@@continentalaquatics2725 agreed! Most of the black reactors I subscribe to only grew up with hip hop, rap, & blues; their reactions to our music gives us a fresh perspective, & takes me back to when I first heard it; & I'm learning a lot of stuff about the bands I never knew!
@Sound Jam; uninformed jackass. Judgemental much? I love all colors of people. Can't stand jackasses. Grow up.
OPEN LEGS. FOR A DIFFERENT VIEW. AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERS !!!!! LOVE METALLICA
Another good on guys!
How can somebody have never listened to Nothing else matters? Poor poor people. This is the pinnacle of talent in music
Everytime I hear this song i think of my cousin who taught me how to play this song on the guitar in the early 90s..sadly he was killed back in 2014 and I cant help think of him when I hear this song 😥
That solo......a musically emotional masterpiece. Hetfeild showing the world how less is more, and emotions should drive a solo, not the need to showcase a guitar twiddly ego trip. Sublime and beautiful. And the bending of the strings at the end with sustain..........Lump in the throat moment.

Thomas Taylorr, did already.
L O V E this song - Metallica and their awesome guitar work - so good
Sensational videos fellas listening to the incredible band mettalica
Justin, just found your channel , I’m an old dude , I love watching your reactions to music that was the soundtrack to my life. Got a ton of suggestions for you, I’ll check out what you’ve already done first
you guys are awesome thanks for a BLACK American perspective
Song is just f-Ing Amazing!!!!!!!!!!
They both have that music stank face. The scrunched head bopping vibbing.
music could bring everybody if they would just listen...
I played this song at my wedding, it showed we loved each other no matter what..this guy doesn't get it at all.
Funny you mention it's the type of song you don't know when is best to play it... it was my wife and I's song at our wedding. :)
It’s amazing after all these years. The black community sitting down with metal and taking it all in. I remember way back living with two musical cultures not mixing at all. Hip hop and metal just didn’t mix! Run dmc made it happen but it didn’t catch on. But now this generation taking it all in! Awesome to see and hear!
Always loved this song...but guys turn it up!!!
It's a love song. The singer wrote is when he just feel in love.
This song was written shortly after their original bassist, Cliff Burton, was killed in a tour bus accident in Sweden. It isn't in his honor, though, the tribute song on the same album is, "To Live is to Die".
Cheer up Justin its not a sad song. He's saying to always trust and believe in yourself. Live your life your way but keep an open mind. Dont worry about what other people know think or believe about you. No matter how far away your dreams may seem, their as close as your drive is willing to make them.
Omg I adore you guys...great reaction, subbing for more💜🤘🏿💜
The day that never comes with Metallica and their video, gonna blow your mind away😍😍🇸🇪
You should definitely check out Black Sabbath - War pigs Live in Paris 1970. Its a killer performance and would love to see ur reaction to it.
This is my favorite Metallica song. I'm not big on them, but this song is pure gold.
What happened to your audio after you made the statement of I don’t know if this for a wedding or a funeral it went like at 10 can one speaker call these bad bad ????
i read this right as it happened, freaked me out a little
Yeah. Sum Ting Wong!
@@stormrising2623 lmao.. No no the volume said "Wi Tu Lo"
My favorite song of ALL TIME
I love seeing people re-discovering great rock&roll/heavy metal music and showing their reactions to it, but when you play that silly-ass music while making comments - it just kills the mood. Great to see you enjoyed it!
BTW - little known fact, Joe Manganiello played an acoustic version of this at his wedding in place of the standard wedding march. No bullshit - he said it himself.
This song is about the band's friendship with each other and how nothing else matters
Music, the great equalizer. Great music shows us all that we're not so different after all.
Great reaction, guys... try "The Unforgiven" by Metallica soon... another masterpiece imo
THIS!
It's know as a rock/ metal ballad and most groups have one or more of these in their collection to sing , keeps it fresh and shows a different side ( pre-internet)
Bring it
Metallica 🤘👽🤘
wish metallica had more songs like this and mma said or even turn the page

I'm back in middle school ❤
God bless him
Metallica in concert just as good!
Really love both of your reactions lol!! Love this song but the big question is...............Will you ever react to Stevie Ray Vaughan again? Maybe something like Tin Pan Alley SRV w/Johnny Copeland🙏🙏💞💞💞💞💞
Nana loves Metallica. 🤘✌👽
This was written by James Hetfield to his then GF
Welcome, brother!
IT'S A HEARTBREAKING & TRUTHFUL SONG.
Love your reaction!! Glad you enjoyed a classic x I highly recommend you check out Alter Bridge Blackbird which is also a masterpiece!
And if you want more chills in your spine..react to "ONE' by metallica itself
This song was on the best Album they ever made, and I think God that Failed should be next up for a reaction, the beat catches you in the very beginning, and sucks you in.
Love the album! Ride the Lightning is their greatest album lol and yes! God that Failed by Metallica next!
Master of puppets is The best album.
It's not a sad song. They are singing about nothing else matters but their friendship.
Nirvana- Where did you sleep last night Unplugged! Classic joint!
Love the stank face, guys.
Why do I feel like im listening to Cleveland commentate ! lol
check out ride the lighting.
