It’s not a well-known show...this AMV is actually most people’s first exposure to it. I’d highly recommend it though! Your cover was really good.
@@The8BitDrummer Princess Tutu is also a wonderful subversion of the fairy tales you heard as a kid and plays around with story meta in the literal sense with its own story.
I wanna plug the Anime that the the AMV is based on; Princess Tutu.
Its extremely good. And its quite a bit more interesting than a generic magic girl show. Its not Madoka by any means, but its pretty awesome.
Blessings of Babylon Since you've probably seen it, I might as well ask. Does this show have anything to do with the Black Swan ballet?
As in, Swan Lake? Now, i dont have any sort of grasp of actual Ballet - but from what i can tell after a few minutes of googling, Tutu take a lot of inspiration from Swan Lake in its costumes and characters (many of the characters are basically lifted from Swan Lake at the start) and uses the soundtrack of Swan Lake extensively - but it is very much not an Anime adaptation of Swan Lake.
@@FlyingDwarfzz it is mix of many many balletes, operas and fairy tales. When I watch the anime I hoped Tutu will be with Prince, but in fact Tutu sacrifice herself. It appears that Prince Zigfried exists not only in Swan Lake but also in The Ring of Nibelung Opera of Wagner! So Prince, HE CAN'T BE HER all the time, 'cause he is from another story!
I'd say it's better than Madoka for many reasons, it's in my top 5 with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in terms of satisfying, deep storytelling.
