That's what I want for Christmas, is my favorite song. The boy says that the first thing he is going to do is pray and thank the Lord for teaching me, faith, hope and charity...that is what is missing from our country. We are a country that has forgotten the Lord and all he has done for us. Some may not believe in the Lord and that is your right, but I don't think we can get away from the fact that when people were better about going to church and praying for one another, we had less fighting among ourselves. I didn't say everything was perfect, but it was better....a good work ethic would certainly help also. Thank you for these wonderful songs.
the lord is still at work in our nation despite what it's become. i'm so blessed he doesn't give up. i got saved in january 2021... it's changed my whole life and perspective. may god bless and keep you always marnie! jesus is coming soon, i hope i get to live to see it.

I know exactly how you feel Marnie. All we can do is get up each morning and be grateful! I do know the Lord can use each and everyone of us, wherever we are to show his love and do his work.......as long as we let him. It's not always easy, I know, but please remember not your or my strength but His. In our weakness He is strong. I too long for the good old days when I grew up in the early 60s-70s and things were very different. But I try to keep looking up to the Son each day and not looking down all day. We can only imagine as the song goes and look Forward to the day when we get to rejoice and be with him! Please keep looking up my friend it's going to be here before we know it! Merry Christmas!!

I was born in 1975. Growing up, I listened to the oldies but goodies music that my parents grew up listening to. When I listen to music from the 40s and 50s era I feel like I am there. I guess I might be an old soul. I grew up listening to 60s-90s songs and yes a lot of them were awesome and loved them. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old and as a dance teacher, I love to teach dances to my students with music I grew up listening to. It’s really hard looking for a good decent song nowadays because the songs kids like nowadays are so inappropriate and disgusting. They think it’s the coolest thing and I just cringe at the fact that these kids think it’s ok to listen to songs that talk about sex and drugs so graphically. Mind you, these kiddos are 11-14 years old😱 But to each his own.

Listened with my daughter and her closest childhood friend while enjoying some cranberry bread, butter cookies and hot chocolate. Was so nice to reminisce about their childhood and now what do you know, they’re all grown up. We loved listening to this music to help get us in the Christmas spirit, thank you.

Even though it was depression era and war, people helped one another and didn’t worry about where the next mass shooter was.
We had also just got over World War 11. One of the most destructive and cruel wars ever. I was born in London in 1938. We now have a war in Gaza. Bethlehem is closed down. No celebrations, no tourists not even a Christmas tree. They have killed this Christmas. But happy music does help and lets remember how lucky we are.
