  • My experience converting a VP44 injected 4JH1-T to a VE injector pump out of a 4JB1-T using 4J Performance adaptor plate kit.
    One major mistake I made was not locking the scissor gears, this linked video by Basket Case Builds shows how to do this

    Good job, I've 2004 4jh1 here in ireland, I've my vp44 left in for overhaul, has my heart broken they are a horrible pump, I'd convert it over like yours tomorrow but the problem I've got is finding an old 4jb1 is almost impossible here, they are extinct at this stage anyways good job, well done 👏

      I used the B1 injectors and injector pipes, its the easiest. Might be able to get a B1 pump out of Aus/NZ of line. They're still very common here

    Thank you for your work. You have done a beautiful job, but there are some questions about whether you have made any other modification to the engine other than the diesel pump. The most important question is how many horses did you get after this process?

      Yeah mate, I used the TF rodeo cable that the mech pump came off of, so was able to use the pump brackets to be able to adjust the cable then. But I had to make the pedal end of the cable fit the Jackaroo fly by wire pedal, it worked in the end with some modifications

    Does anyone reading this know about manual transmission interchangeability between the 4jb and the 4jh... I have a 4jb but would like to swap a 4jh in and then swap my mechanical pump over... It just seems safer than trying to increase the bore and stroke of the 4jb?

    • @paulthepilot5
      @paulthepilot5 Před 7 měsíci

      JH1 will directly bolt to a JB1 gearbox. The only difference you have is the crank sensor, which won’t be needed.

I'm in Canada but let me know if you have anything for me. The 4jb1 I have right now has the F5V turbo off the 4jj1 @@paulthepilot5

      Dmax , if you fit the isuzu trooper 3.0td 4jx1 throttle pedal it has a tps built into it and it could be wired in to the dmax , Also look up the 4jh1 mechanical pump swap pages on Facebook this has been discussed on it before
