The Plumed Serpent by DH Lawrence | Book Review

Another book review of my favorite English author D.H. Lawrence. It's a story of struggling with difficult life and religious decisions. Not my favorite novel but I do recommend it if you're a fan of DH or want to get an interesting take on Mexico as it was 100 years ago. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Ryan, thanks for this, the book has sat on my shelf for a while, I’ve been resisting the pull of it but am about to plunge in to the beginnings of a book club here at home in North Yorkshire, this is to be the first book on the reading list is like being thrown in to the bullring of where my life started, at age 67 I’m reminiscing on my two brothers dumping me when they saw the bull in the field on our scrumping plums mission, they simply turned and ran leaving me up against him!!! Imagine!

I'm imagining that was quite the moment!! I'm a city boy so even being too close to a cow is frightening enough, let alone a bull. Well, I wish you a pleasant journey with Lawrence in the bullrings of Mexico and look forward to hearing your thoughts on the book when you finish.
