Good Night everyone 😴 ✨️ Let's not start an arguement today
@@King.Cinephile you always start one when you lie and make false claims about others.
Arachnophobia, Tarantula, and Earth vs the Spider are underrated.
All of them
The People Under The Stairs, The Serpent And The Rainbow, The Exorcist 3 And Dog Soldiers I Have These On DVD, Train To Busan, Drag Me To Hell, Sinister, And In The Mouth Of Madness I Saw Them On TUBI And I Have An Honorable Mention: Bad Moon, Dead Alive (AKA Braindead), Infection, Prince Of Darkness, The Original Prom Night, Dolls, From Beyond And City Of The Living Dead To Name a Few.
Train to busan is by no means underrated. Its been on top lists for almost a decade
as if watchmojo has any idea about any of these movies
look at their fucking pathetic lists
They are clueless fucks looking for more clickbait shit
I agree...
The sequel is
It is actually cos you've seen it doesn't mean everyone else has. Also, when Americans are trying to make an American version you damn well know its underrated
I think they mean it hasn't been grasped by the American audience. How many people can name the best Korean movies of all time?
The most underrated horror movie for me is the Matango, a 1963 brilliant live action Japanese film about a group of friends getting stuck in an island as they slowly turn into monsters physically and/or mentally
Thanks for the tip :)
@@starscreamthecruel8026 no prob :)
Omg have you seen Gonjiam Haunted Asylum?? It’s AMAZING!! I swear Asian horror is so amazing!! I feel like they GET IT
@@katz0625 oh I still have to watch that
One of the most atmospheric movies I've seen. The dank rot of the shipwreck set oozes off the screen; I can almost smell it. 🍄
Dark Skies is my favorite under the radar horror movie, and sure, it's sci-fi, but there's a lot of overlap, and the intense parts of Dark Skies are so damn terrifying, it's firmly on the horror side.
I thought Dark Skies was a sci fi horror series that came out on TV about the same time as the X Files?
@@starscreamthecruel8026 there could have been a series of the same name that I'm not aware of, but I was talking about the 2013 movie with Kerri Russell.
Orphan is a pretty horror film, and the plot twist is mind blowing
we know its popular
For kind info movie was based on true event ..character was my real life sister..
Sinister and Trick r Treat are seriously underrated horror movies
They are not underrated, they are well known for anyone not living like a subhuman under a rock.
No tf they aren't 😂😂😂😂
Always felt sinister wasn't underrated. Since 2012 to 2020 I felt everyone was always talking about it. At least it was for me, couldn't escape the damn movie.
Sinster is quite shocking first time around. I havent seen Trick R Treat. The version I saw was called Trick Or Treat, with a deranged dead spirit of a rock star coming back to trash and kill the high school that drove him to take his own life.
I don't know if they're underrated or not, but they are both great horror movies!! "Sinister" stayed with me for a good while... 😁😳
Barbara Hershey! Oh man, I haven't thought of her in years!
Im sorry, but where's session 9? From 2001, truly an underrated gem of psychological horror
It's not THAT good, to be honest.
Loved it!! Great atmosphere and being shot at Danvers State Hospital makes it that much creepier.
Probably because it’s a snooze fest
I'm very happy about where 'Trick R Treat' landed this time on underrated horrors! But I disagree with 'Train to Busan' being "underrated." 😂
Trick r Treat hasn't been underrated for a decade now like this list is stupid
@thedevilsrockstxr2309 you think so that still makes me happy because I've definitely seen a few of these underrated horror lists where they weren't even honorable mention for a few years. But if that is the case I do agree a lot of others don't fall under it either like 'Hush' and 'You're Next', I feel like they used to be underrated but now they're a lot more popular too. A for effort I guess lol
@@ronorleans Meh people say every horror movie tht doesn't make IT money underrated when they aren't, horror has always been niche, so if u make a non mainstream niche movie in a niche genre, thts not being underrated, thts just the movie that was made
I thought The Invitation was a snooze until mid movie the drama accelerated so fast, I literally jumped out of my seat - scary thriller of a movie - well done!
Most of these I wouldn't consider underrated. They are just good and held in pretty high regard with most people I know🤷♂️
Because fucking subhuman clueless braindead mojo has no idea about any of these movies.
underrated = not many people saw them or even know about them
Horror fans will know all of these those who focus on the major releases might not.
Dead End (2003), Ready or Not (2019), The Stuff (1985), Willard (2003) deserve to be mentioned. I guess you should make Top 100 Underrated Horror Movies 😂
Dead End is amazing. I love that film
12:30 It turns PEOPLE into zombies by making them appear dead only to have them “re-animate” a day or so later and usually after they have already been buried.
The invitation was such a well paced and outstandingly directed movie. The tension is palpable the second the first scene begins. I love it!!
The People Under The Stairs is hilarious. A friend gave it to me as a birthday present way back in the days since I'm a Wes Craven fan, and next day me and my roommate sat down and watched it. Such a great laugh after a night of partying.
"People Under the Stairs" is one of my three favorite Wes Craven movies, after "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Scream". It has a unique vibe, and Daddy running around in the gimp suit is hilarious.
You're next and Train to Busan are gems.
But I don't see nothin scary or terrifying..I guess ua taste also same as them like what PPL say u follow same way ..ain't u
That face in the thumbnail was so disturbing!!
It's from The Serpent and the Rainbow, one of my favorite movies.
@@daveh2404 I've never seen it before
I came for the thumbnail
If you're looking for that movie, it's The Serpent and the Rainbow.
I love that The Serpent and the Rainbow is on this list, my favorite horror movie of all time
I stumbled upon Sinister quite by accident and was very pleasantly surprised.
One of the best feelings you get in „Identity“ 2003 with Ray Liotta and John Cusack
Here's others for a sequel to this list:
- Idle Hands is a horror comedy in the best ways possible.
- Student Bodies may have started the modern era of horror comedy.
- The Hidden (1987) and..
- I Come In Peace (aka Dark Angel) are both action horror at its best. Along with...
- Split Second (92)
- The Nest (87 or 88) is just a creature feature to get under your skin.
- The End?
Idle Hands is pretty popular and well known, so not really underrated.
Dog Soldiers! ❤ The Thing still needs to be on this list (as nr 1) even if it’s a classic by now.
Stir of Echoes (1999), Session 9 (2001), May (2002), Dead End (2003), The Signal (2007), The House of the Devil (2009), Case 39 (2009), The Bay (2012), Green Inferno (2013), The Sacrament (2013), As Above So Below (2014), Deborah Logan (2014), We Are Still Here (2015), Hell House LLC (2015), Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), Ghostland (2018), The Lodge (2019), I See You (2019), The Empty Man (2020) and The Dark & The Wicked (2020) should all be on this list.
You need to make a video!! This is a good list….omg Hell House LLC is one of my all time favorites!! Deborah Logan, The House of the Devil, The Sacrament, Autopsy of Jane Doe, and The Lodge are great too!! I don’t get why people didn’t like The Lodge!! The little girl in that movie is such an AMAZING actress!! Holy 💩 when she’s crying about her mom it made me bawl my eyes out!!! She was so fantastic at it!!
@@katz0625 Thanks! I liked The Lodge a lot, it was so eerie and creepy, also The Dark and The Wicked was creepy too, the setting reminded me of The VVitch a little. Another one that creeps me out is May, the main actress did so good as a weirdo lol. I forgot to include Kill List (2011) is a british psychological thriller but towards the end is so dark and f**kd up that makes it a horror, if you find cults creepy check that one out!
I have seen most of those, and now I want to see the rest. Thanks for the list!
@@Multi_Purpose_Weirdo Yeah let me know which ones, and if you know others I might haven't seen yet go for it!
@@joeloher8563 I haven't seen The Sacrament, Ghostland, I See You, or The Dark and the Wicked. I will send some recommendations when I get home and can look at my "favorite horror" list!
Loved "The Voices!", "Orphan", and "The People Under The Stairs!
I kept saying the Thai horror Shutter is underrated because of the twist. Didn't see it coming
That's a good one. With the cursed photos :)
"The Voices" is a great movie. A great blend of horror and comedy. Ryan Reynolds is the perfect blend of sympathetic and terrifying.
This channel is honestly scary. Like i can not watch top 10s for months, then ill randomly think "oh i wanna see that topic" and theyll ALWAYS have a video for it made 2 weeks ago.
Solid list, but where is "Session 9 (2001)", or "The Hitcher (1986)"?
The Wailing is one of my all time favourites. I can’t see why it would be classed as underrated though as it has a score of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. I’d say that means it’s rated pretty highly, right? And now I’m off to Netflix to watch it again.
Near dark, attack the block, tales from the hood, one missed call (OG), the blob (remake) and day of the dead (OG) r so underrated
In the Mouth of Madness is one of my favorite movies. John Carpenters Lovecraft homage without adapting an actual Lovecraft story. It’s a brilliant film. I can also honestly say that several of these films are loved by the horror community. Green Room, Mandy, Train to Busan, In the Mouth of Madness, The Wailing, The Entity and others are all discussed frequently and loved in FB horror groups anf Subreddits.
As I recall, In The Mouth Of Madness was part three of John Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy with The Thing and Prince Of Darkness being parts one and two respectfully.
I think the Wrong Turn remake is pretty underrated and it’s a pretty good movie
What’s the name of the movie in the thumbnail?
The Serpent and the Rainbow
Dog soldiers and Hush were a hoot.
I wouldn't necessarily say Sinister is underrated. For me, it falls more in the category of "Horror Gem that could've been". The film has a brilliant atmosphere and keeps the tension up for the majority of its run time; however, it completely fumbles the bag with its ending that devolves into a cheap action B-movie. Had they stuck the landing, Sinister would've gone down as one of the greatest horror films ever made.
Not sure how you can make the demon God look anymore realistic? It looked freaky enough to be honest and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Norway Dark Ambient band Aghast and the Cyprus band Accurse had contributed tracks to the film's soundtrack.
The Invitation was so good
“The serpent and the rainbow”… What a movie! I remember watching it when I was a kid and if I think about it, it might have just been my first horror movie
The People Under The Stairs is great! It was my favorite as a kid
Lol glad to know I wasn't the only one cutting my teeth on stuff like Wes Craven and Clive Barker as a kid. Lol (I loved this, Hellraiser, Serpent and the Rainbow and other insanely inappropriate horror as a kid, too btw 😁🤣)
@@ashh4929no shit u weren't, the directors wouldn't be famous if they couldn't capture the youth...like think
I wouldn’t class many of these as underrated less so of all time as the likes of Mandy, Dog Soldiers, Possessor, Train To Busan, Green Room, In The Mouth of Madness, Drag Me To Hell and Bone Tomahawk all received positive critical and audience receptions and frequently appear on numerous horror themed lists. Exorcist 3, likewise, is loved by a legion (sorry!) of fans and not just Mark Kermode. The People Under The Stairs admittedly often gets overlooked though more often than not by Wes Craven’s other films, notably the Elm Street and Scream films, and deserves far more praise for its darkly comic tone and superb pairing of Everett McGill and Wendy Robie as the psychotic Robesons who share that same deranged onscreen chemistry so brilliantly ignited in Twin Peaks …
… as for my underrated pick I’d have to choose Heartless, Phillip Ridley’s criminally overlooked gem from 2009 with Jim Sturgess, Eddie Marsan, Noel Clarke, Clemence Posey and Timothy Spall. Equal parts gory, disturbing, gothic and poignant it’s a film that deserves so much more love and attention with the strong cast and Clive Barker-esque horror vibe combining to deliver a real undersung genre classic that’s well worth seeking out.
For anyone saying _Train to Busan_ doesn’t belong here, try to see the explanation from someone who thinks the movie is underrated. I haven’t seen it, as I’m not interested in K-movies. That doesn’t mean others can’t think it should be more popular.
The suspiria remake is very underrated. I actually like it better than argentos original
I absolutely agree. Tilda owns that movie.
Glad I'm not the only one. The original was very disjointed and they didnt use the dance element as well as they could have. You're supposed to like the original because of its brightly coloured and surreal backgrounds, so the story itself is sort of a second thought. They had the same issue in the Asian Movie Curse Of The Golden Flower, the sets are very attractive and must have taken ages to render, but the plot as a result, is not as clearly defined as it could have been. The original Suspiria has the same problem.
@@starscreamthecruel8026 I wholly agree. It’s always the same with Giallo. All style and no substance. I watched the original first and had no clue what the film was about at the end. Other than witches. The remake made everything much clearer, plus I preferred the ending.
I wouldn't call most of these movies underrated but I suppose it depends on who you're asking. There are some great movies on this list and Dog Soldiers rules! The greatest werewolf movie, in my opinion.
The Director of Bone Tomahawk doesn’t see his film as a horror. He considers it a western thriller.
I think it’s a western thriller with horror elements.🤷🏾♂️
Good video 👏
Glad you enjoyed it
The void not being on this list is a crime.
Not sure thats underrated, anyone who loves Lovecraft inspired films, probably knows of its existence.
@@starscreamthecruel8026 While I agree with you as a horror fanatic, I think casual fans might not be aware of Lovecraft and his impact in general.
I've only seen Dog Soldiers, Sinister though saw it on a bad DVD copy from online so it was in black and white though it was my elder who did that, I saw Drag Me To Hell and In The Mouth Of Madness too.
10 of My Favorite Horror Movies are Child’s Play 3(199?), Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare(1991), ReAnimator Trilogy, Tales from the Hood(1995), Tales of Halloween(2015), Trick ‘r Treat(2007), Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker(1992), and BrainDead/Dead-Alive(1991)!🎃❤️📺🎶👍🏻

“Cherry Falls" is the most underrated slasher film.
WHERE'S "SLEEPAWAY CAMP", ANYWAY? THIS UNDERRATED HORROR FILM WAS HILARIOUSLY SCARY, LOL! 👻🎞️🎬🎥🤣
Stick with the first one. Two and three are not so scary.
Definitely missing "Mimic", it was excellent
Yeah, Train to Busan is SO underrated Hollywood wanted to copy the movie idea and make it pass as a "remake"
Nobody ever seems to talk about The People under than Stairs much. It needs more love imo.
Trick r' Treat is one of my favorite horror films ever, glad it's number 1 here
Suspiria (2018)
Night Breed
Under the Skin
Mandy is amazing!!! It was slow at the beginning but when it picks up it goes HARD!!! It’s amazing!! I love Andrea Riseborough so idk why I haven’t seen Possessor!! Especially when it’s a Brandon Cronenberg movie!! He’s brilliant like his daddy!
They should do horror movies where a person is adopted/kidnapped by a crazy family. Mum and Dad is one of my favorites
in the mouth of madness, train to busan underrated gems
U forgot Fraility
haute tensions (2003) / the house by the cemetery (1981) / horror express (1973)
Frailty is one of the MOST underrated horror movies of all time.
Where's Nightbreed? It's a hidden gem among the horror genre, and it's one of my favorite movies of all time?
Bone Tomahawk is awesome I wish there were more western horror movies
I think 1987's Near Dark would fit on this list
Session 9 (2001)
The Changling (1980)
Upgrade (2018)
The Guest (2014)
Overlord (2018)
Wolf (1994)
The voices is truly a great film.
I always get excited when someone mentions Creep… until I realise it’s not the 2004 film with Sean Harris in it. It’s bloody brilliant. Not so much underrated as completely ignored. Which is such a shame.
Drag me to hell still has the best twist in any movie I've seen.
Out of 20 movies I have only missed 4 of them and ironically the entity is only one I never heard of before the other are movies I've heard about but for some reason I never get around to watching I have to say out of 16 movies on here I have really enjoyed all of them Not one bad movie on this list so I'll definitely try to get around to watching the other 4 films soon 😁👍
The People Under the Stairs is one of the best horror movies out there!
Mandy's absolutely so compelling
This is a pretty good list, but I feel like a lot of these movies aren't all that obscure. Like are movies like Freak and Orphen THAT unknown?
17:56 yesss I'm sorry best movie on this list
Green room is amazing
Dog Soldiers is so good🐺👍🏻
Watching Mandy feels like a fever dream. In a good way. Although it's certainly not for everyone.
However it's a good reminder that Nic Cage is still at the top of his game and people saying the man is a bad actor are clearly missing out on some of his best performances, including this one
The Fourth Kind 😱
I love creep, the acting is really good!
This video should be done without spoilers. Spoiler talk is good for discussions, not for selling movies.
Shiver by David Cronenberg
Yes!! Love Dog Soldiers.
Hush was soooo awesome. It gave me anxiety 😂😂😂😂 but I loved every minute
Maggie? Lake Mungo?
High Tension, is underrated.
These are all well known. Everyone saying Trick R Treat (which i love) is under rated has never been to a spirit halloween store. I love your channel but somebody should please check out shudder, tubi, peacock, etc. There are so many unknown and interesting movies out there that should be given more love and attention that don't have big studio backing.
Train to Busan is one of my favorite Zombie/infected movie. Koreans know how to do zombie movies.
Creep is so good!
Train to Busan is hands down the best zombie movie ever made.
My vote for most underrated horror movie is In The Mouth Of Madness. PLEASE don't listen to the critics, check movies out for yourself👍😃
I hereby nominate the great Pumpkinhead.
Brainscan 1994. Wishmaster 1997.
Interesting.

There should not be a spoiler alert on a freakin' top 10 most underrated list. If you are spoiling any element of the movie you are doing it wrong
