I'm glad she was able to work something out with HBO, so we get to see Samantha again. And I'm glad she did it on her terms.
So am I...I adore her as I do the other women of sex and the city. Seeing Samantha again is such a gift to fans and I'l keep my fingers crossed for more of her if Kim feels it is right
Hopefully there is more appearances of Sam if Kim cattrall is willing to do more
I heard rumors about she could join Emily in Paris, a show created by Darren Starr (the creator of SATC) and Patricia Fields as the designer of the show
It seems like everything has already been on her terms. It’s too bad that she couldn’t work her little food out with SJP but I don’t really miss her on the new series and just like that.
Samantha made the show! I miss her on the new one because it’s so dull. It’s not funny! Carrie is exhausting!! We hardly ever see them together. Che is tiring, Nya is forgettable, can’t stand Anthony, and what happened to Miranda and Charlotte???? It’s like they had a lobotomy!!! The only one I like is Seema. The show has no plot whatsoever! There’s isn’t a story to be told here. People will watch it of course but they’re not going to remember it.
"What can we do?" are the magic words, HBO. GO GET OUR GIRL.

Queen of maintaining firm personal boundaries and self-worth. Kim Cattrell is a legend and an international treasure. She was the most compelling, complex character on SATC. She carried that show and she's carrying it again.

I’m sure SJP pitched it with the team behind the scenes and asked the Head of HBO to make it happen for the fans and for the success of the show. Every decision on this show goes through SJP.

Kim Catrall is an exceptional, enigmatic person. There aren’t many people who’s presence commands an audience to the point where fans demand/beg for your return. I’m proud of her and feel blessed that she shares her talent and strength with the world on screen💪🏾👏🏽😘

What I do appreciate about Kim is that she’s not willing to be shamed or bullied about not participating in and just like that and she wasn’t blackballed in the industry the way she could’ve been. She knows her talent. She never talked I’ll about the show bcuz I feel she had respect for the fans who loved the iconic character of Samantha. But she just shared her personal experience with the costars. As a satc fan, I can truly respect that. She knows her worth and shows up like that. Kim is such a class act.

@@jm7804 I think the AJLT ladies, (Sarah Jessica, Kristin and Cynthia) are getting one million per episode, so Kim probably made around $100,000 for her cameo. Not bad for a half days work if that's what she cleared...

Yeah. That surprised me. I was mad she didn’t want to join SITC but now seeing her interview, i can see why she didn’t want to do it now. She didn’t want to always be thought of as Samantha. But her character will always be iconic!
Kim Cattrall is the BEST. It was heinous how everyone came after her when she walked away from the 3rd Sex in the City movie, but she didn't want to do it and that is reason enough to say no. I always thought she was the best character of that show and I love how she just kept working away doing things she wanted to do.
Thank goodness Kim declined the third sex and the city movie since sam's storyline involved sext pics accidentally from Brady.
Not to wanna bring any beef back but she comes through as such a class and honest act that it’s hard not to root for her. Also how different she really is from Samantha is really a testament to talent as an actress.
I almost fell off my chair when I watched my first lengthy interview with her 10 or so years after SATC (thanks to CZcams we now get those US interviews too wasn’t the case in the early 2000s..). I hadn’t realized what an amazing actres she was until then !
I remember her from the very first Police Academy film. It’s astonishing to see how far she’s come in her career.

Mannequin was just the best. I would watch it over and over again when I was a kid! Her and Jonathan were such a cute couple!!! It seems like Kim really likes the strong, positive woman roles. Emmy was so fun and confident!
Me too! I loved the idea of spending the night at the mall as a kid lol! Great 80s film! Loved her ever since and Samantha was an amazing role for her! Hope she’s able to find more interest in reprising the role for a third season of the new show because I think it can be meaningful for a mature female audience who watched SATC and can’t believe it was 25 years ago.
She handles her interview with grace and professionalism. She is a true star!

I don't think she was the star. She is a great character and we love Samantha but let's face it, whatever anyone says, sex and the city is about Carrie, and it always will be. Not SJP, Carrie Bradshaw. The other ladies are the supporting roles.

What a wonderful interview; Kim Cattrall is truly delightful!!! I was smiling during the entire 7:14 minute clip. I LOVED her on SATC, she was my favorite character; never a dull moment with Samantha!! It's hard to believe that she's in her 70s and her face moves when she talks and smiles; it's not frozen with BOTOX.

As a gay man in my 40’s who suffers from addiction I’m disgusted with the casual drug use and mentioning of key bumps and 80$ bags on Netflix’s Glamours. Drug use has killed many of our tribe and it’s not a joke and should NOT be normalized to the youth of our community. To put it out there that you can be 20yo and use meth or coke and still be successful is not a thing so putting that idea out there is unacceptable! It is NOT glamours it’s deadly. @kimcattrall @theviewabc

It is good that they brought it up though, since it really is a "normal thing" and big problem within the community. I'm a gay man in my 20's living in Berlin and trust me, I get it. It should have been brought up in a more critical way but that would've disrupted the whole tone of the show. I was surprised that they've brought it up within the episodes and am glad they kind of included it in a more or less realistic way but I do agree that there should've been more of a message there.

They really knew Samantha was missing in that first season of And Just Like That. So, I’m very happy she will have a cameo this season.
I always thought I was a Samantha and no one on the show is even remotely close to her character. Not even the newcomers.
I wasn’t pleased that behind the scenes drama kept Kim from returning initially. But I’m happy with her explanation that at this stage in her life she’s earned the right to be picky on what she says yes to.
I didnt miss her at all. There are another three AMAZING actresses without bad energy.
