The day promised to be exciting: I was headed to the Automobile Museum, located in an area that once housed a tobacco factory. Now, everything here has been restored and revamped, transforming into a cultural hub with museums and exhibition pavilions.
The taxi arrived quickly, and I settled into the back seat of a modern car. The driver greeted me warmly, and we began our journey. Soft music played in the background, and I enjoyed the views outside the window. We drove through streets that, despite their modern appearance, retained the charm of old Spain.
As we approached the former tobacco factory, I recalled how this area looked in the past. Once, hundreds of people worked here, producing goods that were shipped worldwide. Now, in place of the factory, stood the magnificent Automobile Museum, housing a collection of luxurious and rare cars from different eras.
Stepping out of the taxi in front of the museum, I was greeted by the grand building that now held the car collection. The sense of time and history intertwined with modernity was incredible. But this was just the beginning.
Next to the Automobile Museum was another pavilion I couldn’t miss-the branch of the Russian Museum. It was a stunning contrast: exhibits from St. Petersburg, the heart of Russian culture, were now on the coast of Spain, in Málaga. Inside the pavilion, I could see artworks that transported me to the atmosphere of St. Petersburg, a city I deeply love.
This part of Málaga has become a true cultural crossroads, where the past meets the present, and Russian art coexists with Spanish culture. I felt like a traveler through time and space, savoring every moment of this extraordinary day.
Visiting the Automobile Museum and the Russian Museum’s branch was an unforgettable adventure. I joyfully noted how history and modernity intertwined, creating a unique atmosphere in this beautiful seaside city. Málaga turned out to be a city that knows how to preserve its past while keeping up with the times, surprising visitors with its cultural treasures.
