Timberwolves fan here. TSJ is showing serious potential! Amazing debut! He was the best player on the court today BY FAR!
Super athletic. You’ll love him.
i loved this pickup by the wolves and he should have been a top 10 just on stats alone. he should have been making more but for the wolves he was a steal and will see real playing time
Elite athlete and basketball player who should have been a lottery pick in this year's draft
You got a good one...on and off the court! Luv him!🧡💙
I luv that TSJ looks like he is having so much fun too!
Just saw the highlights; even though it's only one Summer League game, I had tears in my eyes because of TSJ.
I don’t know if I’ve ever cheered for someone harder
I saw enough. He’ll be one of the best bench players in the NBA immediately. He was lookin like ANT out there.
He has Edwards' elite athleticism for sure but what's also so amazing is that every other part of his game is so polished!
He and Edwards are going to be a problem for years to come!
I bet there are a lot of teams out there regretting their pick right now.
No doubt about it. Can't believe he fell that far.
I am happy for him . He’s a very hard worker.
He deserves all the success in the world.
Illini fan here happy for his performance as an NBA player. I am a Bulls fan but adding the Timberwolves to my favorite team list.
You and I both!
What a debut for TSJ!!
Boom!
As a wolves fan who is more hyped on this guy than any of my friends, I think TSJ is going to end the year as the 7th or 8th man off the wolves bench. If he can provide more consistent offense than NAW I think he will easily take SloMo's minutes. I could even see him being the 2nd biggest contributor off the bench behind Naz if all things worked out
I can see that!
As a T-wolves fan, it was a pleasant surprise to see Shannon's debut. Hope to see more in the rest of the G League games.
Yeah, but what about Bronny? 😆
Yep, talk about a nepo baby.
Bronny gets more free rides than Clarence Thomas.
So glad he went to a well ran organization and he will have a huge playoff role. Future All Star.
Yup, perfect situation for TSJ.
Yes, we are well run now, but we didn't use to be
@@RJLKMRD Hey bro, we from Chicago. Greedy organizations go from good to bad fast.
@@Blahman899 I'm really happy he's joining our team, I strongly believe we're going to win the championship this next year and he's going to be a big part of it
Minnesota fan here, TJ was my pipedream going into the draft. Absolutely floored we actually got him, and can't wait to watch him absolutely tear it up with the rest of our boys!
You guys got an absolute gem!
I also watched the Locked in Wolves broadcast you did. As a Wolves fa, I’m very excited! I was also surprised when Shannon was talked about as a… possible… rotation guy. Going into game 1, I was worried Shannon might be in Dillingham’s shadow, but it was definitely the other way around. I had not followed Shannon’s career and I was surprised how big he looked. It is a crowded roster and Shannon’s main competitor for minutes will be from Joe Ingles. I hope the reserves get minutes, keep the team rested and prepare themselves to be part of a playoff run. Thank you for your podcast.
I think you’ll like what you see from Terrence, good luck this year !
Dudes a great player I hope he keeps that chip on his shoulder and proves the teams that didn't take him that it was a mistake
Whatever his potential is, I feel confident he's going to reach it because of that work ethic.
this draft class for the wolves vaguely reminds me of 2020 draft when we got Ant-man & Jaden Mcdaniels. I believe both dillingham & TSJ are going to be great additions to this team.
This could be the draft class that takes Minnesota over the top!
Wolves fan . Excited bout both our rookies . We needed to get faster . We’re faster. Lost monte and slow mo. Got Terrance and dilly
Looking forward to following Minnesota !
Subscribed! He has very high potential. Great debut!
Thanks for joining us! Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like me to talk about in future episodes!
They better put some respect on my boys name and get used to seeing this often.💯🔥🔥 Terrance is right where he should be. The timberwolves were the perfect fit for his skillset. Fantastic Debut. Looking forward to seeing many more highlight reels of that left hand with authority at the rim.💪
💯
Wolves bench is gonna be wayyyyy better this next season.
You guys will be fun to watch!
He will be 8th or 9th in minutes on the Wolves. Starters set. 6th man Naz Reid. 7th spot is NAW. TSJ's main competition for minutes will be Joe Ingles, and they will both be vying for the minutes Kyle Anderson got last year. TSJ clearly is way more ready than Minott and Miller. Hopefully TSJ plays well enough and progresses, to be in the playoff rotation.
big Wolves fan here, but let's be real. TSJ could take NAW's spot. He's bigger, stronger, faster with much more scoring ability.
I expect Jingles to take the early season minutes but to be fazed out except for very specific situations pretty quickly. If you ask Magic fans he was great to start the season as a veteran presence off the bench but even in that limited role he burned out pretty quickly, and even when he was good in that role he was bad defensively He will always be a threat from 3 tho.
By Christmas TSJ will be getting 18-24 minutes a game at the 2 and 3.
@@jaimeb1281nope. NAWs spot is as safe as can be. The mans the leagues greatest navigator of picks and that is invaluable to the Wolves defense.
Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. If NAW's 3 pt shot not falling, he bring nothing offensively. TSJ can play some great D also.
@@jaimeb1281 I agree that Shannon also has tons of defensive potential but NAW is gonna play off the bench because he's exceedingly important to what the Wolves do without destroying Ant in the process and Finch trusts him. Shannon will take SloMos minutes except he won't be a compete nothing on the offensive end. They are two different players who play very different games. It's not at all one or the other. They will both be valuable.
Next year however the Wolves won't be able to afford NAW and TJ will become the primary wing backup
I believe he’s right where he’s supposed to be. The Twolves are going to be the team to beat in the coming years
Yup, it all worked out the way it needed to.
Nah, it's still Boston. But in contention if they play their cards right.
Tsj goin to be in the rookie of the year contention
Time to check the odds.........
@@LockedOnIllini where in Illinois are you at. Peoria here good old Peoria manual ram here
Sorry bud but ben is right. He’ll play but it’ll be sparingly mostly do to logistics. The wolves starting lineup is set. Naz was sixth man of the year and naw is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. Dillingham is the only backup point guard so he’ll play. He and joe ingles will battle for ninth man but given how is the only vet on the bench I imagine he’ll get the nod.
Again it’s got nothing to do with TSJ (he’s great) but this is what happens on a conference finals team that brings everyone back. Next year tho naw will almost definitely gone and TSJ could be way higher in the pecking order but without injury I don’t see it this year.
Ben is much smarter than I, so he may ultimately be right. But I'm not doubting TSJ. I think he's going to surprise Minnesota fans,
@@LockedOnIllini oh not smarter just more aware of what Tim Connelly has been saying. It could absolutely change if naw has a bad shooting year and TSJ comes out blazing. Lord know I’m hoping for it cause that prob means a finals appearance soon.
Immediate impact to the Wolves roster!
Win/Win.
Rob Dillingham doesn’t look ready. He thin as a stick.
He's bigger than Allen Iverson was when he was drafted.
I think both rookies are going to be alright.
I even said that he was going to be a timberwolf
Nice call!
i disagree i think he will be asked for buckets. the thing that killed the wolves was points off the bench. that was what he was drafted to do. him and dillingham. both will be on the rotation helping the second core of guys. it wasnt uncommon to see the entire 2nd squad minus reed with less than 5 points
I mean, I love Ayo, but he’s not done anything on the league. The greatest draft steal? Bad take.
"Ben from Locked on Wolves" is quite awful he needs to be replaced
Ben was great on the show. But thanks for watching!
