I have owned both of these, there is another con - the power station has a temperature cutout of around 40°C.
Learned this the hard way when I went camping in the Pilbara and it simply switched off because it got too hot, also switching off my fridge.
Whereas the battery box has a lot more versatile temperature range.

I had something similar before. There are two issues with this kind of power stations. 1. Onboard charging: by default, they all offer a cigarette charger, which takes 12-24hrs to charge it fully. I had to build a charger myself to charge mine at 50A. The 2nd issue is access. Because everything is in one, it's so bulky and not easy to find a place in a Prado. Even if you find a place to put it, you have to make sure that you can access to the front panel and all the sockets.

Yes, I agree with most of what you are saying. In some instances, the Go Further battery station might suit better. There are definitely pros and cons with both, but I found overall they are certainly great products. I placed the Power Station on back seat and secured it with the seatbelt. Possibly the smaller ones may suit better. It's personal choice and what they may be used for. The Power Station was awesome on our Fraser Island Trip, and I used the solar blanket to put some charge back into it. 👍

@@prado150outahere Saying all that, it served me well. Just as I started camping more. I wanted a permanent solution and end up setting up lithium battery and DCDC charger and mounted them in hidden places. Then I found that I still need something portable and purchased a smaller one.

You possibly could, however, you would have to check that it the power consumption was under 2000w. The inverter in the power station is 2000 watts

The power station is better, because once it shits it’s self, which it will, you just put a new battery in.
