- Battling hammer and tong for victory with a TVR Tuscan whilst also having to clear backmarkers in a 1600cc Lotus Elan around the Historic Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. This was the final couple of laps in a 40 minute endurance race.
That was me in the Tuscan, man that was tough and I just don't have the same skills in the corners! Great racing, best fun of 2023 to date.
You did GREAT against a highly effective driver who knows a lotus extremely well.
Is the Tuscan a v8 or v6 ?? What does it weigh ??

@@jonniev8 thanks for answering. What are the rules on modifying the engine? Can you run 12 to 1 compression and a roller cam and aluminum heads and 4 Webers??
When you realize that Lotus weighs half of the Tuscan it does a lot to explain it's performance.
@@crazyoilfieldmechanic3195 Standard type block and heads, you can't fit quad Webers because the rules forbid any body mods such as bonnet bulge etc. and has to run on carbs, not injection.

Amazing car control, especially when winding on opposite lock one-handed while changing up a gear. Huge respect 😎! Mini no.8 needs to pay attention to blue flags, nearly hit you twice and lost you the lead.

Brilliant racing, thanks for real on track entertainment. As a TVR owner I am disappointed that your Elan out braked him every time, but he definitely had straight line speed. Well done.
Great racing .... one of my favourite cars to drive in AC that. Loved working at the track last year for 6 months fitting out the hotel, spending far too much time on the balcony watching cars racing round.

Wonderful cat n mouse stuff going on there. Trev obviously has the straight line speed but is heavier in the corners. The Elan’s cornering is spectacular and the power delivery is nice and smooth. Fantastic racing !

Such good wheel control especially since it takes so much sawing back and forth correctly to keep the car in it's place and ahead. 👍
